    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

Huh? It's not logical. Do you keep it floored AFTER the finish line? You should be below 6000 rpm.

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

Thanks! No 5th gear required, I was crossing the line at 6250-6300ish RPM.

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

I chose LaSota for some reasons... 1) Paul asked me to go WOT on the very first run, which I didn't really like. LaSota first ensured that the idle runs were perfect before going WOT. During the idle runs, we discovered that I had a small exhaust leak causing slightly bad numbers on the...

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

I got the parts from Steeda and the tune from LaSota. LaSota had a better reputation so I didn't mind paying 100-120$ more to get it tuned somewhere else. :)

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

I prefered to deal remotely w/ Lasota Racing, no dyno run yet. Timing and A/F are pretty safe so I don't have to worry about not being dyno tuned.

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

Hahahahaha. :p I'm from Montreal and ordered the kit itself from Steeda Canada. It was the cheapest place for me. I then dealt with Lasota Racing for the tuning via datalogging and a wideband commander.

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

Thanks!!! :) Unfortunately not from MPH because I'm from Canada and it was too complicated w/ the customs and all. I ordered it here.

    Stock heads/block/clutch/rear end/tranny '01 GT runs 11.65 @ 120.5 mph

Hey guys! I went at the local track today with my basic setup and WOW! This thing pulls considering the mods. :hail2: Gotta love our poor man's Mustangs. :D My mods: - Vortech V2 w/ the stock low-boost non aftercooler pulley - SVT fuel pump - 42 lbs injectors - SCT BA-2400 mass air flow - 4"...

Subframe connectors - How important are they?

I understand how useful they are, but all garages around are only opened during my working hours and the drag event is next Sunday. I'll have to take a day off to get them installed before the event, which is not really smart. :) I know that I'd most probably get better 60 fts with them, I can...

Tried changing a wheel stud with the nut + washers solution -> No success

I'll try to eat the flanges and freeze the studs, it may solve my problem. I just wanted to ensure that the failing rate wasn't too high hahaha. I don't wanna strip other ones.

Subframe connectors - How important are they?

Hi guys, Next week, I plan on going at the track for the last time this season. I recently installed a Vortech V2 on my '01 GT and will run high 11s with 1.65 60 fts times. My question is: after how many runs can the chassis be permently affected without SFCs? Should I install them now or...

Tried changing a wheel stud with the nut + washers solution -> No success

Hi guys, Last weekend, I tried changing a rear wheel stud by pulling it with a nut + washers, but the nut stripped and stripped the stud at the same time. :( Did this happen to anybody else? What could cause this? Already worn nuts? Too much impact force? Will using a brand new nut...

My '01 Vortech V2 GT on the 1/4 mile

It's the "Force" kit from Steeda Canada (to which I added some stuff, like the 4" boost pipe): http://www.steeda.ca/catalogue_product.asp?pid=2477 I don't know if Steeda USA is selling the same one... Thanks. :nice:

My '01 Vortech V2 GT on the 1/4 mile

60ft: 1.65 1/8 mile: 7.61 The swaybar was still on the car and I'm running Eibach Sportlines, so the launch/1/8 mile are on the slow side. I'm catching up on the trap speed. No dyno number yet, the car was tuned at the track w/ a wideband and datalogging. Stock rear end, 4.10 gear. :)

My '01 Vortech V2 GT on the 1/4 mile

Here's a fresh vid from our local track. My mods: - Vortech V2 @ 10 PSI - SVT fuel pump - 42 lbs injectors - SCT BA-2400 mass air flow - 4" Boost pipe - MAC off-road h-pipe - Flowmaster mufflers - 4.10 gear - Accufab plenum - Accufab throttle body - 26x10x15 ET Drags on Weld Racing...

    Torco 108 on a Vortech V2 '99-'04 GT?

Even if I increase the timing?

    Torco 108 on a Vortech V2 '99-'04 GT?

Hi, What kind of power gains can I expect by using 50% Torco unleaded 108 / 50% 94 gas on a basic Vortech V2 GT w/ 4" boost pipe (not aftercooled/intercooled) with timing bumped by 3 degrees? Is there any risk? Weather is pretty cold here. Thanks

First 1/8 mile track tests with my SQ-Trim

Well, I gave it a try yesterday on the 1/4 mile under slightly colder weather and the car pulled much more. My slicks were unfortunately on their last day with pretty bad 60fts (mid-high 1.70s), but I still managed to run 11.95 @ 119 mph.

First 1/8 mile track tests with my SQ-Trim

You're right... But I'm currently building a new house so the budget for the rear-end and IC went into the house budget hahahahaha. I'll try to run 11s with this basic setup and calculate how much money is remaining for upgrading the Mustang project next winter.

First 1/8 mile track tests with my SQ-Trim

Yes, that's me! I was running much slower times at this track with my previous setup too (8.56 at this track versus 8.21 at the other track where I ran high 12s). It's a ****ty track, mostly just for fun. I hope it'll be the same too with the blower.
