    No brake lights! Crap!

Check the plug to the switch itself, that's what caused the same problem w/ mine. Here's a pic: http://rjminjectiontech.com/images/brake-switch-connector.jpg You can buy it from www.fordfuelinjection.com if need be. I just found that recently and didn't know about it at the time I had the...

    Questions about the parking brake?

There's a good chance that the mechanism of the lever itself has gone bad. When I first got my '90 you could sometimes yank the lever to almost a 90 degree angle. The self-adjusting mechanism in them goes bad and it doesn't engage properly. As far as the cables go, just crawl under the...

    What fan should I run???

Yeah I noticed the same thing. The engine doesn't seem to struggle so much at high RPM...but I also did underdrives at the same time. And to second meangreen92LX, it just looks cool under the hood.

    What fan should I run???

I have the Black Magic Extreme and really like it. It's more expensive than doing a setup that you have to put together, but it's very well designed. It comes with an adjustable fan controller that has an adjustable (tempurature) activation, as well as provisions for a manual activation as...

    289 Roller retrofit

There's something you guys haven't addressed yet: the type of cam you need to use. That particular type of conversion kit requires a reduced base circle camshaft when used in a non-roller block. The lifter bores of a 289's block are not tall enough for the longer lifters of a hydraulic roller...

some help for people with idle/rich/power

If I'm reading your post correctly, you had a problem w/ the Holley regulator and replaced it with the stocker. I had trouble maintaining a setting w/ mine (I kept having to turn in the screw more each time to get it back to the setting I wanted, and eventually bottomed it out) and finally took...

Help me create the "Surging Idle Checklist"

Here's another checklist success story: I went throught the list step by step, and it ended up being the salt and pepper shakers. My surging problem had been bugging me for about a year and a half. The cause ended up being the Ford recall jumper harneses. If your car has them, pitch them in...

    28 oz vs 28.2 oz

Yep, same thing. It's like how you don't look at those fractions of a cent on the gas prices. The 28 (as opposed to the 50) is the important part.

    coolant overflow

You are unlikely to find somthing premade, unless you have more freetime than most of us to scour every possible source for a metal bracket. The simplest thing to do is enlist a sheetmetal shop to cut/bend you one out of sheet steel or aluminum. All you have to provide for them is a cardboard...

    w/p pulley (elec fan setup)

You shouldn't have to change a thing, just bolt the pulley to the water pump w/ the stock bolts and down the road you go.

anyone have their headers jet-hot coated?

Yeah mine lost their luster pretty quickly (they turn a little "fuzzy looking"), but it's worth getting because the coating protects the headers a little better than the chrome. My experience was always that the chromies rusted quicker than the ceramic. I bet a coating done by Jet-Hot will las...

    Comp Polymers 5.0L Powerbox

There is a reason why it's available for almost nothing. That thing will kill all your torque and midrange...when you find out how much you hate it, you'll pass it onto some other poor schlub for almost nothing. It's like they made about twenty of those things in about '96 and they've just...

2 questions, oil pan and pulley options

The oil pan has to have that front "hump" to clear the oil pump. A factory oil pan will have the greatest amount of clearance compared to some aftermarket pans, but if that won't clear you'll probably be relocating the front sway bar.

Stock Air Box Vs. Conical Filter

The stock air box is the safest guaruntee you can have of eliminating tuning issues related to airflow. Your electric fan will probably lessen this potential, but if you decide to keep the conical filter, I'd say go with the heat shield idea.

    clutch cable question

I used an OEM sn-95 Ford replacement in mine that I bought mine a couple of years ago, because at the time the sn-95 (94-04) replacement cables were like half the price of the fox cable. Since the sn-95 cable is longer, you have to redrill the hole in the frame to reposition the bracket, but it...

    Where to buy fuel lines

How old is your fuel pump? If it's getting tired, the 190 lph fuel pump kit from FRPP comes w/ them, that saved me when I melted one of them w/ a crooked tailpipe. EDIT: wow, this thread is older than I realized. Oh well, it kept me occupied for five minutes.....
