    Help me build my checklist

I did this in my 1988 GT and had the performer RPM heads, Performer RPM air gap intake(which I have for sale). I also had a F cam with this setup and Holley 650 doublepumper. I went 12.6@106 on seven cylinders. I had an intake valve that wouldn't prime up. Before the heads cam and using a...

    AFR 205 heads on a 306

In my 2005 NMRA rule book Rick you can't use the Victor Jr. intake and it also says you have to use stock oem Ford lifters. Unless they changed the heads your aloud to use the AFR185's either. Just trying to help.

    How fast will it be?

I had performer RPM heads performer rpm air gap intake. With F cam, 1.6 rockers 650dp and 3.55's in a stick car and went 12.6@106 with 7 cylinders. You should go high high 11's 3450lbs with me inside.

    B or F cam

I would go with the E cam. The B cam won't hurt you either but it will keep the lift down. Ok the B cam same as the b303 cam is [email protected] lift and total is .480 The E cam same as the e303 cam is [email protected] and total .498 You would get less lift with the B and alittle more duration...

Yet another B-cam thread, install or not?

It boils down to money and how long do you want it this way. If you have it and have the money to put it in do it. You will enjoy it. If you have money to do a custom cam and going to keep it the same for awhile go with a custom cam.

    B or F cam

A custom cam might be better but I honestly don't think $100 plus better if your on a limited budget. Ford stopped making the 5.0 motor in the mustang over 10 years ago. They still make the B, E, F, X, and Z cams. Why? Because they work and they work great. Most custom cams you will have to...

im pulling my motor, need some opinions.

I would consider buying performer rpms, afr 165-185, trick flows. But I honestly think you would be better off with a complete rebuild on your motor.

    B or F cam

Well I had both the B and F cams. I liked them both but the B cam on sooner. The F cam last in the rpm range longer up high. I honestly say stock heads B cam and aftermarket heads F cam. BTW- I have a F cam with less than 1,000 miles for $135

    Clutch-Need more air gap

Clutch isn't the problem if you don't have this in any other gear. The syno is probably going out in 5th gear. Now that you have that clutch you maybe shifting alot faster their for you get that little grind noise.
