    how you fixed it thread

Problem 1: Car started bogging and generally running like ****. Went to gas station, put gas in and problem solved. Problem 2: Gas guage not working. Got new sending unit and installed it. Hopefully will eliminate future instances of Problem 1.

    Hoffa????????

It's a chance for the FBI guys to get out of the office on the taxpayers' dime. At least it's been raining so they're earning their pay.

    Wheel price

I paid $600 locally for 4 used silver 17x9 Cobra R rims and tires comparable to what you have. I've been looking for 2 more (e-bay and locally) and prices for just the rims are running $125-150/each. I'm thinking $800 would be a good price.

    T-5 , Driveshaft Questions

Be sure your harmonic balancer is ok. I had a high speed vibration that sounded like tranny/driveshaft but went away after I replaced the balancer.

    which speedo gear?

Watch out you don't wind up with junk floating around in your tranny. I had a white (23 tooth) gear in my T-5 tranny (with the 8 tooth drive gear) and the plastic teeth were partially eaten off. I've heard others complaining on different forums that this is a common problem because the teeth...

Did AODE to T5 swap need help !!!

Something is definitely going on there. If you've got the correct 94-95 bellhousing there shouldn't be the >5/8" shortage. I had to buy a poly mount but it was for years 80-95 and no difference for auto/manual. I don't know if that would be the problem. You sure you don't have your...

Did AODE to T5 swap need help !!!

Just a thought, but if you somehow got a fox t-5 with a 94-95 tranny, you will have problems due to the 5/8" shorter input shaft not going far enough through the clutch and into the pilot bearing. Check into it and contact your vendor if things aren't right.

Did AODE to T5 swap need help !!!

Here's a pic of the differences in the bellhousings for a fox and 94-95: http://www.v8-ranger.com/red/t5/t5.php Noite the 94-95 says 5.0 on the bellhousing. If you do have the fox set-up, you can always make it work. Do a search on this website. Some of the common things that come up...

Did AODE to T5 swap need help !!!

Mine lined up perfectly when I did the swap ('95 T5 into 94 AODE). Are you sure you have a '94-'95 T5 and bell housing? I think the earlier (Fox) trannies and/or bellhousings are shorter which would account for the lack of length but I don't know about the height issue. It's been a while...

    Handguns...

Swartzkopf: .40 S&W. You are right. 10mm is a little heavy to start out with. 9mm's are a smooth shooting gun but I feel that, like a .38, they lack punch. A 9mm would be a good beginner's gun. The .40 S&W is a midpoint. I don't keep my guns for protection and at this stage of my...

    Handguns...

Start here: http://www.psp.state.pa.us/PSP/Lib/psp/PDF/FIREARM_BROCHURE.pdf You also should talk to a reputable gun dealer and discuss your wants and needs. If yopu've never owned a gun before, you may want to take a class on gun ownership to let you know your responsibilities and...

    My Quest buying parts online

I've also done a lot of mail order buying for my car and most of it went pretty well. Sounds like you had a really bad experience with Pro3i and I hope you got your money back and he gets what's coming to him. It's good you posted to let others know what they might expect from that vendor...

    Gouged by the dealership

Last time I bought a sending unit (and I'm dating myself here) it was $20 and had the bonus of having the fuel pickup on it. I know it gets worse when buying parts for foreign cars. I got a friend with a turbo Mitsubishi that the dealer wanted $270 for the oil cooler (I keep telling him to go...

    reading material

My copy came in the mail yesterday and I'm pissed. I thought they made our cars sound like junk to avoid unless you want endless headaches from any mods. The least the magazine could have done was assign a writer to the story who had some affection for the '94-'95 cars. We're driving...

    Gouged by the dealership

I've been given an employee discount on occasion but I never seem to get the same guy twice at the parts counter. As for bargaining on price, the woman who waited on me on Friday responded with "do you want the part or not?" I picked up the fuel level sending unit at lunch today and it amounts...
