    MAC Prochambers /w CATS

I had my CEL come on once the cats came off. It was taken care of by a custom tune with the rear O2 sensors turned off. My buddy who inspects cars said that as long as the CEL is off, he could fudge the rest of the emissions test. This being due to the fact that the car is hooked to a computer...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Is there any raspiness to that setup? From what I understand, the Flowmasters are a chambered design. And from what I have experienced with X pipes and chambered mufflers, it produces a raspy/tinny sound at certain RPMs. And I got teased today, I heard a big truck pull up outside and I...

    Anyone have this problem?

I have had mine randomly cut off two times. And also cruising down the highway, I have felt the car lurch like I hit a bump. Dunno if any of it is related, but I am going to have it looked it after I call a few dealers and see what kind of attitude they have towards the changes I've made to the...

    help quick please!!!

On the passenger side valve cover, there is a plastic hose that runs to the intake pipe, and you do have to replace it. It will not connect to the JLT intake pipe. From what I remember, there is a little green plastic tab that you slide backwards to disengage the locking mechanism on the...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

The Prochamber went in this morning. It took some muscling to get it all straightened up and bolted in, but its on! I was really surprised by how much quieter it is now. Its a lot deeper, very little drone in the cabin, and the trumpets have been all but vanquished. Only up in the high rpms do...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

FRB, from what I have come to understand just from reading various posts, the Hooker and JBA LTs are the same length. With that being said, when I installed my Bassani pipe, I had 0 issues with it mating up to my Hookers, so you should be good to go with the JBAs and Bassani. Hang on to your...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Alright, well after some consideration, I have decided to give the Prochamber a whirl. Considering I can't seem to sell it and the fact its been sitting for well over 3 months, why not? So today I went and picked up some couplings to make up for the Prochambers length. Hopefully tomorrow, but...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

I am wanting to get $320 delivered for it. Which is significantly cheaper than anywhere I personally have seen. I also have the legs that connected my X pipe to the stock manifolds I will throw in if desired. That will still make the Prochamber shorter than the legs will reach, but a muffler...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

No no, don't get me wrong, my work place sucks and pays just as well. If we have job openings, I tell noone for the mere fact I wouldn't want anyone I know to put up the BS that I do:nonono: These experiments have been ongoing for the year and a half that I have owned my car. I don't even want...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

I had considered getting some high flow cats and modiying my X pipe to accomodate them, but not sure what brand to go with. And I am also kind of reserved about doing so because I sold my Bassani cats a couple months ago and would feel like a dolt buying them again:nonono: Man, I guess...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

I ordered mine direct from Pypes, maybe that had something to do with it:rolleyes: Once I get the Violators on, that will be the 9th setup I have tried. And today the SLPs went back on. The Hooker tips quieted it down a LOT more than I was expecting, and I just couldn't have that:D So now I...

    Changing exhaust.

I know for a fact, because I tried, that the Prochamber will only work with the MAC LTs. It is too short to directly bolt up to my Hooker LTs, and from what I understand, Hooker and JBA are the same length. Right now I am running the Bassani X with my Hookers, and if fits nice and snug.

MRT Hood Struts - Just Installed!

When it comes to closing the hood, do you have to push down on it to get it to latch? Or do the struts kind of "release" at a certain point? I would love to get a set, but if it requires pushing on the hood, I think I can live with the prop rod.

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Oh man, you got yours already? When did you order them? I was told they would not be in until the 2nd week in July:rolleyes: :nice:

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Latest Experiment: Decided to try a larger tip, thinking that might take care of some of the trumpeting and the drone, as well as make it deeper. So I ordered a pair of Hooker tips, 4" with a built in resonator, and had them installed today. Quieter than the SLPs, took care of some of the...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Oh and the absolute meanest sound I have found is the catless X pipe with MAC mufflers and stock manifold. But be warned, its really tinny in the upper RPMs. However! I never tried this with a straight through muffler, as the MACs were chambered. You could try a nonchambered setup and might...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

In the past, posting audio clips would not have been a problem. I had my firewire port and my video editing software working beautifully. Up until my F ing hard drive crashed. It was a pain trying to get the software I had working again, then when I bought my new soundcard, it did away with my...

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Well actually, the Prochamber I STILL have, my MACs I traded for the SLPs, I sold the high flow Bassani cats, and the Bassani mufflers I am going to polish up and get them ready to be sold.

    Yet another exhaust combo down.....

Well after driving it around now for awhile, I've figured out how to drive it to keep that horrendous trumpeting to a minimum. And I have to admit, I am really starting to dig it:D Finally opened it all the way up over the weekend, and the closest comparison that I can think of is a Nascar...

    LT installation?

I installed my Hooker LTs on my own. A buddy of mine let me use his lift, which made things MUCH easier. Mine went on perfectly, I did have to unbolt and lift the engine, and I also removed the starter motor. Not necessary, just made things a little more maneuverable. Nothing needed to be...
