    Very stupid question.....

Thanks for the replys everyone, I think I'll try the clear nailpolish. It can't have any haze or blur look to it from the outside.

to stroke or not to stroke

DSS gives you a gasket kit and new oil pump with the shortblock, and I would think most other places will too. I would definately buy new head bolts and intake bolts though. Everything else should be alright to reuse. Just make sure to keep the rocker arms, pushrods, and lifters in the same...

    Head Swap...Questions!

You have to take off the lower intake, headers, and front accessories also. Definately put the rocker arms and push rods back in the same order they came. As far as reusing the stock rocker arms, you'll be able to reuse them with out problems.

to stroke or not to stroke

If youre hearing metal scraping in the engine and getting metal shavings in youre oil, sounds like you need more than lite clean up. Also knowing that your block has already been bored out once, I'd be looking more into a short block. Also running the 331 with the stock heads would definately...

    TFI Harness Confusion

I'm sorry, I can't check on my car right now because its locked up in a garage, but I have an '87 that I converted to mass air and I didn't mess with that at all. Sounds like you have a bad TFI module then.

Dropping the tranny throw out bearing ?

The throw out bearing can easily be done without removing the bellhousing, but the pilot bearing is a different story. I would take everything out to do the pilot bearing. The pilot bearing is very aggravating to get out, as far as special tools to get it out, I dont know if one exsists. What...

    TFI Harness Confusion

The harness is the same. You say you put an '89 computer in, but did you hook the mass air up first?

    mild od heavily modified?

I would say mildly being top end work only, and heavily being bottom end work along with the top end. This is just my opinion though.

Flush the system out really good, the heater core could be blocked off by sludge or something. Are you sure all the lines are hooked up also and not bypassed?

    Very stupid question.....

Thanks for the reply, but it has to be on the inside, also tint is not an issue. I have off tomarrow so I will probably go to the Hobby shop tomarrow and ask around.

    Very stupid question.....

I want to glue something to the inside of my window and have it show on the outside of the glass clear. Does anyone know any kind of glue or adhesive that I could use that will dry clear with no haze, so it looks like a sticker? Thanks for any help.

fuel was cutting out, now car wont start? even after fuel pump replaced?

This is probably a stupid suggestion, but pull the vacum line off the FPR and see if it smells like gas, when they go the gas squirts out into the vacum line. I know you have pressure, but it could be bleeding off really fast. Also if the regulator is okay, you should pull the codes with the...

    Engine rebuild kit ok?

Its not the best kit out, but for just refreshing the motor in which you only plan to throw a few bolts ons onto, it should work just fine.

    ebay paxton superchargers for less???

You also got to find out how much shipping and handling is. A lot of people on Ebay rip you off this way, they may want another $100 for shipping. Just be careful of that, like mentioned earlier, check the sellers feedback and ask them any questions you have and go from there. Correct me if...

89 5.0 "easiest" brand of Long tubes to install? Knuckle Busters!

Stay away from Macs if you can, they really are poor quality, and yes they do warp due to not having a one piece flange. Also, stay away from slip tubes, the ones that the primaries come apart and you slide them back together and clamp them. True they are easier to install, but they never...

    Engine rebuild kit ok?

I personally never used it, but just to let you know its like a stock rebuild. The only difference is the stock pistons are forged.

    bumper cut-outs? anyone have pics????

I wouldn't use a hole saw, I can pretty much guarantee the paint will chip. I would use something that spins kind of slow, like a Dremel on slow speed and the finest and thinest cut off wheel you can get. And as mentioned above use masking tape and actually cut the masking tape when you cut...

this moron cracked his AOD housing - general AOD ? inside

A good welder can weld that up for you no problem. I've had many cast things welded up with no problems. Just last week I had my intake welded back together.

I would stay around 10psi for a street driven car. Just make sure you keep a good tune.

Anyone using the Holley Systemax II intake?

It don't leak with that bolt out? I found a way to make that one and the front drivers side easier, use studs. It made it easier to install, but I still think the stock one is easier. The external EGR is a pain too, but this time I'm omitting it. Since the manifold is fixed now, I will keep...
