Getting an S-Trim soon, is a tune necessary?

I had a Procharger P600B kit on my car running 9 pounds when it was basically stock without a tune. I just used the FMU that came in the kit. It definitely had power but it always ran very inconsistent. It loved to backfire. I eventually blew a head gasket while lighting up the tires and I...

    NO SPARK - Help Please

This test is going to show if there's is power going TO the coil, it doesn't show wheather the coil is good or not. If you get power to the coil only if the PIP sensor is good, then I would look into the ignition module.

    still working on timing....

+1 - Always do your timing with the spout out. 10 degree's is stock, if you want a little more pep you can get away with running up to 13 degree's on a stock engine, but you will have to run premium fuel or your valves will click.

    NO SPARK - Help Please

If this is the case, I would definitely look into the PIP sensor.

did too much crankcase pressure blow my motor up?

I dont know if this helps, I was getting the exact same symtoms after installing my intake. Whenever I guned it smoke would blow out the back and oil would blow out of my dipstick. After tearing it all apart I found that when I put my intake on I forgot to install the PCV valve baffle and the...

    NO SPARK - Help Please

There should only be two wires going to the coil, a hot and a ground lead. if your getting power to the coil then you should be getting spark to the distributor. If the PIP is bad it would definetely cause the car not to start, but it shouldn't affect wheather or not the coil is giving out a...

    Weird Electrical Problem (Car Dying)

Sorry for the delayed update, after looking over my system I found that one of the wires going into the plug that connects to the coil was very loose. I secured the wire and the problem still happened. I took a look at the ignition module and it looked like it was an original motorcraft part...

    Weird Electrical Problem (Car Dying)

When the problem isn't happening the car starts fine. I'm taking tomorrow off work so I can start tearing things apart and figure out what's causing the problem. I was already planing on checking the ignition module and the coil, but I haven't heard of a Profile ignition pickup. You...

    Damn thing wont come off

Well you could always remove your hood and stand inside the engine bay to get some better leverage over the rotor and pull the thing straight out. But I would use that as a last resort.

    Weird Electrical Problem (Car Dying)

It is a stock in-tank fuel pump, but since I have never see a decline in the fuel pressure I kinda ruled that out. And each time I turn the key from off to on I do hear the pump prime just as it should. I Checked all the wiring to the pump and everything looks good? I get a constant 32 pounds...
