head studs while engine in car??

With head studs? Admittedly, I've never had to deal with it on an SN-95, but every Fox I've seen with head studs had to rotate the motor to clear the strut towers.

    Is this true?

    Yup.

    Roush Intake Dyno Numbers

Timing is a possibility and will be addressed. The problem has been with the EEC. It has been adding enough timing to get me concerned with detonation. It's on the list of things to take care of. And the local dyno I went to was White's. Good people there. I have no reason not to go back...

head studs while engine in car??

It can be done, but there is a trick required to do it. You'll have to unbolt the motor mounts and jack up either side of the motor to get the heads to clear the strut towers. It really isn't that big of a deal. Basically, you loosen one side and completely remove the nut on the other...

    My first "Slow5.0 Compilation" video

I look forward to seeing it :nice:. Ehh. It took me 30 seconds to download this one so I really don't care. I was just saying that the guys who have dialup may not be patient enough to download the whole thing. 72 megs? Man, that's crazy...

    My first "Slow5.0 Compilation" video

Cool vid... a little long though, especially with nothing but drag runs in there. No flame intended, just my observation. The vs runs were cool. 16 megs? Man I feel sorry for the guys on dial up.

    moroso valve covers

You nailed it. IMO, aluminum is easy to weld, but only if you take your time and prep the material properly. Since Al is so much softer, I think it flows extremely easy as long as you're on top of your heat control (I'm talking TIG here, not MIG). Honestly, I think SS is much tougher to weld...

    both front springs were busted

Yeah, you'll notice a difference, but whether or not you'll be able to attribute it to the fact that the new springs are one piece is doubtful.

    Roush Intake Dyno Numbers

For those of you who remember me installing the all coveted Roush 3-piece intake (http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=483948), you may recall that I planned on getting a dyno done afterwards to see exactly how much I was gaining. Well, life got in the way and I didn't get around to it...

    Harmonic Balancer

Best method I have for removing that bolt is to remove the crank pulley and belt. Then thread two bolts back into the dampener adjacent (next to) each other. Place a breaker bar in through those bolts so that it can't turn CCW. Now back the nut off. If it's so tight that you can't hold the...

    Clutch Quadrant

I've got the MM quadrant here. It isn't installed yet but initially, I'm very happy with the construction and design. Overall, it's a very nice piece. I see no reason why it won't perform as advertised.

    Happy Happy Happy It's Done

Any friction surface requires break-in. Clutches, brake pads, engine bearings, etc. So to answer your question, all new clutches require X miles of break-in (500 is usually recommended).

    underhood decal

If I get motivated, I'll go pull the liner out of mine (stock hood is leaning against the wall in the shop) and take a pic.

    Happy Happy Happy It's Done

Any builder who's worth anything will test fit and file the rings if necesary. Heck, I used to do that when rebuilding industrial HVAC compressors. It's not that big of a deal. It just takes a little more time. Anyways, congrats on the build. Now get us some dyno numbers!

Does anyone have pics of their suspension setups..if so please post

I paid $369 for the fronts and $449 for my rears. Those are the MM kits for Bilsteins with Hypercoil springs (I got 375# and 250# F/R). Of course, c/o setups absolutely REQUIRE quality CC plates. My MM plates were $200. They also have complete coilover kits including Bilstein shocks/struts...

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas all. Be safe and all that good stuff. Make sure y'all are back here after the holidays are over! And just a note for those who couldn't be with their families this year: God bless, watch your six, and stay away from the turkey MRE's.

    Next mods

Any future/long term plans for the car? LCAs and SFCs are always a good first mod. Depending on what you want to do with the drivetrain, gears are a $500 mod and you'll definately enjoy them.

    axle dampner

I'm of the the philosophy that unless there's a reason for it, get rid of it (the K.I.S.S. rule). But you're right. The factory design included the quads but that doesn't mean that you need to keep them, especially considering Ford's design methodology: "Sir, we have a problem with wheelhop...

    underhood decal

I think you may have a hard time getting a decal to adhere to the hood blanket. In any event, try a local graphics shop. They'll be able to make up anything you want.
