Cobra vs. GT rear brakes...Any differences?

The 94-95 GT/V6 rear brakes consist of a 10" solid rotor and single piston Varga caliper. The Cobras' use a 11.65" vented rotor and the same caliper. The Cobra pads have less material to account for the thicker rotor and use a different axle bracket to space it farther out to account for the...

    turbo?

Sure you could, but why would you want to? That turbo wouldn't be able to support the airflow needed by 302cid, much less anything bigger.

    MAC/ Bassani

:stupid: All the connections are standardized so assuming that the x-pipe is setup for LT's, it should bolt right up.

The new MGW short throw, PRO 5.0, or Steeda Tri-ax?

And what makes you say that? Because it looks different? How about some tech to back that up.

    Fried Chrome Alternator Update...Couple Q's!

RC, Unless there's a bad connection somewhere, there is nothing wrong with your system that would cause that. It sounds to me like Bill is trying to save face or sway you into not trying to send it back if it fails again.

Dang cold weather killed my balancer!

Hardly. It's just that I spent all the mod money I've been saving over the past several months. If it were $6k each month... well I wouldn't be driving a Mustang. I'd have an SRT-10 out front... with twin turbos. Ugh. I feel for you brother. I'm a warm weather kind of guy. Born and...

Dang cold weather killed my balancer!

I checked the timing this morning and it was 22* base. Umm, wtf? So after some investigation... sure enough, the balancer had spun. Oh well. I'm at 115k miles anyways so it was scheduled to die. I'm just annoyed that this is just more money I've dumped into the car (almost $6k in the last...

The new MGW short throw, PRO 5.0, or Steeda Tri-ax?

With the rare exception of those who have actually used multiple shifters, you're going to get a bunch of responses that praise whatever shifter the poster is currently using. That's because they are ALL 100x better than the stock POS. Go find some local Mustangers who have aftermarket...

    X-MAS LIST FOR EVERY ONE!!!

Not counting the things I've already bought myself (tranny, suspension, etc.), I'm hoping that my parents and in-laws send me gift cards to Home Depot. I've got a couple saved up and plan to buy a new MIG with them all. Then I can finally get around to installing that frame kit...

    Stangnet Member of the Year

A couple weeks in Bolivia here, a month in Brazil there... you fall out of favor quickly. Ummm, it was a block made in Mexico that had beefier mains and stronger caps. It's similar to the Sportsman block in that sense, but not quite. It's typically found in Ford vans and trucks...

    5.0 fender emblems on 94/95

I guess I'm the only one who thinks the 94-95 GT emblems look the best of them all... Now if I could only get some that said, "GTS Mustang"

Looking at 95 GTS, what to expect?

Look under the front of the car and inspect the inside of the front spindle. You're looking for the cable that's bolted near the center. That's the ABS sensor. If it's there, your car is equipped with ABS.

    Battery relocation done.....PICS!

Well, for one, moving a full size battery to the trunk is the equivelent of moving the engine back something like 6-7 inches (or so I've heard; I've never bothered to run the calcs). Further, some people do make use of that space, especially for the turbo crowd. Personally, I think a...

how to mold your engine bay?

Scott, Excellent write up. But having spent several years working in a sheetmetal shop, let me say that in my opinion, the best method for cutting sheetmetal in this situation is with aviation snips. They offer, by far, the best control and finesse for the dollar. Spend about $50 (last...

Looking at 95 GTS, what to expect?

Just FYI guys, not having ABS is not just a GTS thing. I've seen my fair share of GTs without it as well. And if you're one of those guys who think that just because you've been driving for awhile, you're an expert, leave the ABS on. Don't remove it unless you have a valid reason for it...
