what is the funnest thing a cop said to you when you were pulled over?

"If you don't know how to fasten your seatbelt please ring the call button and tommy will come hit you over the head with a tack hammer cause you are a RETARD!" #1: After my wreck (my car + one curb + one small tree) two years ago when I had just bought the car, the cop finishes running my...

Which O/R pipe for a 'vert with magnaflows???

The main difference will be the sound. The h-pipe will sound more 'old school' while I think the x-pipe sounds a little racier. As for the pwoer difference probably very similar with each one, this has been debated about a thousand times. I have a vert and run a Bassani O/R X with no fitment...

    I need longer pushrods, yeah!

Went over and talked to the guy at the shop thats working on my car yesterday. Unfortunately he hasn't gotten much done since the first thing he noticed when taking apart my stuff is that my valvetrain geometry was a little off, and I probably need longer pushrods. He thinks I need a 6.400"...

    NEED HELP WIHT PULLEYS

IMPACT WRENCH Sorry, that probably doesn't help too much, but its the best and easiest way to take it off. Mine was off and on in a matter of minutes.

    Driving South to Steeda Tommorow...

That does seem a little steep. I'm sure i varies a lot by what area you're in, but I got mine done for $235.

    Am I expecting too much?

I think $8K does seem a bit high, especially for 98K miles. I actually bought mine from a guy in Overland Park for $9K, but that was 3 years ago for a manual vert with only 66K miles, and I might have overpaid a little bit. On a side note, thanks for the link, I've been looking for a pic of a...

    What spark plugs

Use the Autolite 25's (copper), don't use the platinum ones on your car.

just got in a reck an hour ago

I was thinking the same thing...... Sorry to hear about your car, but at least you are OK. It'll just give you another project to work on now. I would check the junkyards and 50resto.com. The thing that may have done you in is the airbags, when those go, the car is usually totaled.

How/where do you guys get a chip burnt?

I think JMS will give you the best bang for the buck. I am also considering one of these. They will just burn you a chip after you tell them your combo, they don't actually 'dyno tune' your car. I just talked to a guy from JMS on the phone and the chips are $325, and take about 10 days.

the new 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords

That car is nice, but if I remember right, there are also a couple of other 94-95 (two others I think) in the competition, and they both looked pretty sweet, too!

I think I'm going to give in and take my car to the shop - opinions?

Well its going in later today, hopefully he'll get everything taken care of. I have a good feeling about this guy so I'm going to go for it. I'll let everyone know what happens and maybe the great mystery will be solved. Donkey Punch - I didn't mean the idle sounds like a stock mustang, I...

I think I'm going to give in and take my car to the shop - opinions?

I have finally gotten to the point where I am pretty much out of ideas on what is wrong with my car and don't know where to go. I'm a stubborn b***ard, but I think I'm finally going to give in on this one and admit that I'm in over my head. I went today and talked to a shop that the 'Mustang guy...

    a/c compressor

You will need a new compressor (obviously), once you find that, its going to be fairly striaght forward. You will need to have your A/C system drained. Then just unplug the hoses and sensor from the compressor (you may need a $10 tool to remove the A/C lines from the compressor), drop the new...

Fixing my Car - Need suggestions on what to do next

The intake had been installed and run on the car for about 8 months before I did everything else, so I have kinda ruled that out as a problem.

Fixing my Car - Need suggestions on what to do next

Paul - I emailed Ed again today. Last time he suggested the Tp voltage and the fuel pressure, so we'll see what he says this time. Grady - I put my stock FPR back on and that didn't help. Also, I have a Walbro 255lph FP, but I installed it and ran the car with it before installing...

Fixing my Car - Need suggestions on what to do next

OK, so I'm kinda at a point where i'm running out of solutions/ideas on what could be wrong with my car. Heres where I'm at: Rockers are adjusted and are OK Timing is at 13* fuel pressure is at 42 PSI w/ no vacuum TP voltage is .985 at idle and 4.64 at WOT The car idles and runs...

Progress: Rockers OK / TP voltage is also OK

The motor runs idles fine and runs very smoothly when I am accelerating. I have double and triple checked the hoses and wires. Paul - I didn't delete a ground strap, that must be someone else. Does someone want to give me a list of where all the grounds should be hooked up and some that...
