    Have to agree with Grady. That should cause no problem. My car had the same basic mods and a 2031 cam with a hypertech chip when I bought it. It ran better without the chip.

    Are those 315 Nitto drag radials you have on there? What pressure did you run them at? I just got new wheels/tires w/315 out back and can't figure out what pressure to run them at. I know My old 275/40 Nitto's liked it around 20-22PSI.

    How often do valve cover gaskets go bad?

    I know the feeling, I had so many problems with my fan I just gave up and bought a aftermarket fan and controller. 205's would be a better fit for a 351 anyways.

    Please help with a couple of questions

    It will be a bit louder, probably will gain a a few HP. Best mod for seat of the pants feel is 3.73 gears in the rear. Then you have to start looking at new heads/cam/intake to make real power gains. Or bolt a supercharger/turbo on it.

    Go with 4.10 for a real blast. Hard on long trips though. 2700 in 5th at 70mph. They kind of suck in town too, unless you like to shift a lot.

    Overheating problem

    If it has AC turn it on and see if the fan is running. Mine burnt out the plug on the fan motor. There is lots of good info here, doing a quick search will find lots of troubleshooting tips.

    How often do valve cover gaskets go bad?

    That's crazy I have cork gaskets and no problems at all here. Are the valve covers straight? I can't see it being the heads unless they are warped/twisted.
