In the case of no ISC screw, you can also lock your ISC at 35% dutycycle with some params I added into BE. Set the ISC multiplier to "0" and the ISC dutycycle to "35". Then run your TB screw in or out to achieve the desired idle RPM. Remove the 35% lock (back to 1 on multiplier and 0 on adder)...

Sure thing man. Idles are a tricky thing. There are a lot of things that have to be right before you even touch the computer to tune. Tuning idle and the transition to idle is the trickiest part of tuning. First off, no exhaust leaks or vacuum leaks. Secondly, fueling has to be correct...

    Why do I have boost?

If the vehicle is running rough then you could see a pressure in the intake from the aircharge reverting. Valve float will give you some interesting pressure readings as well. Vehicle electrical systems are notoriously noisy, run the vehicle and pull the MAP from vacuum at idle and see what it...

    valve cover clearance

Short Trickflows here - 3/8 spacer on my ported Cobra intake. Welded in a baffle, good to go. Wes

Nice times. Your tuner is one good looking dude, got his #? Wes

    WB and WOT

12.8:1 on 93 octane gas is a good target - on the dyno I usually shoot to get them to no more than 0.1-0.2 AFR either way of commanded through the entire pull. I also start the pulls as low as possible so I am sure to have the entire curve dialed in. On dyno charts the #s can be smoothed...

    1995 GT (EEC-IV) post-modification pre-tune question.

The primary issues I run into when I have customers come in for a tune are (more or less in this order): Exhaust leaks, vacuum leaks, bad O2s, fluid leaks, clogged fuel filter/air filter Wes

    What would you guys recommend?

I enjoy tuning the HPX slot style meters in a blowthrough setup. Wes

First Look at a New Tuning Option

Gotta have the QH because of how it emulates and allows reading/writing to the memory. I've had it on about 35 cars to tune and it has been excellent. My unit also have a switch panel installed to allow switching on the fly between tunes. Wes

Anybody running cobra intake with Trick Flow VC's

3/8 spacer cleared my trickflow heads/valvecovers. No EGR here although I wish it was installed... gas milage++. :) Wes

Goodyear Fuel Lines, How I did it

Nice writeup, I have used the same hose and clamps up to 80PSI testing a fuel system for a blower car and it worked great. Wes

    Intermitant problem at wot

I too would check out the plugs and ignition system. Around a .045 to .050 gap should suffice, as plugs age the gap will get a bit bigger on ya. You hitting the track any time soon, we still need to meet up! Wes

    Do I need a boost-a-pump now? 331 and V1 S-trim.

Respectfully, I don't think you understand how a BAP or the fuel pump monitor in the PCM works. Do you have experience with them? Regardless though, should the pump fail you are in the same boat regardless, the rail pressure will drop and you will run lean. Wes

    Do I need a boost-a-pump now? 331 and V1 S-trim.

I always like to have a touch more injector and pump than I need, with your SCT you won't be able to datalog injector dutycycle so you will sorta be in the dark. I say run 'em on the dyno and watch the AFR and rail pressure like a hawk. For slightly small injectors you can always bump the base...

    Do I need a boost-a-pump now? 331 and V1 S-trim.

Roll with the BAP if you've got a 255HP in the tank. I dunno about you but I pegged my 42s on my 302... just dropped on the 60s yesterday. Wes
