Just test drove the Challenger SRT8.......

I haven't test drove the SRT-8 challenger but I did test drive the SRT-8 300c and it was a joke. I was laughing all the way home because the freaking NPI p71 we took there felt like it had more torque than it:rlaugh:. Also the interior space and trunk space is pathetic for a car that size. I...

    Porting PI intake? :)

:rlaugh: I'm sure after all that porting it could take a 200 shot no problem.

Bolt ons for a 99 gt?

I would suggest the following mods in this order: 1. Subframe Connectors 2. 3.73 or 4.10 gears 3. If it's a Manual get a nice short throw (either Steeda, Pro 5.0, or MGW) 4. OR if it's an auto it's time for a tuner. That's really your best bang for the buck, although not necessarily...

    BUILT NPI DYNO NUMBERS!!!!

Those numbers are really good. I always feel good when I see a competent Aero fox4 since everyone looks at us like the Mustang II of the 4.6L cars.

Bolt ons for a 99 gt?

if you go to latemodelrestoration.com it would take maybe 20 mins to discover all the bolt-ons and such. American Muscle and any of the sites other vendors are also good places to look.

    Just bought a 97' Mustang

Nice, they make great daily drivers. My 96 Red GT has served me well while I toyed on the 3 chevys I have that don't run, haha.

    Another LT1 talking

IMO, it's really in how the well the driver maintains his car too. Those LT1s are really touchy because of the worthless timing system, but they do gain loads of power with simple bolt-ons. The Lt1 also makes a lot of torque much earlier in the rpm band than any n/a 4.6L and they make more hp...

    Tbird vs Stang

If Gearbanger 101 doesn't reply to this thread, my suggestion would be to PM him. Now for my unprofessional speculation. I'm pretty sure the throttle body and everything connected to it is reverse from the mustang. Other than that it should be the exact same engine as whats in the 4.6L mustangs...

    Automatic to manual...NOT a swap

as far as I know they don't make manual valve bodies for "modern" electronic transmissions like the aode and 4r70w. Truthfully, I'm not really hip on old ford (I'm actually a chevy guy *puts on flame suit*) and I can tell you from driving th350s and 400s that's it's not a joy at all with a...

Need some tech advice, I am looking at a 97 GT for a friend

159K is a lot of unaccounted miles. I'd give it a test drive and if it drives okay, the gauges work, it doesn't leak oil, power steering fluid, tranny fluid, etc then I'd carfax it. If it still seems like a great deal after all that, then go for it.

Doesn't it have a built in strainer or something? I hear you can put dry ice in it too?

Lets Talk About A/C!!! I have a question

Correct. When filling be careful, I've had one of those seals bust while filling it (broken o-ring caused by bad motor mounts) and it scared the crap out of me.

    Nitto or Sumitomo?

I had KDWS's and went to HRTZ-II's because the price was right at the time. Don't get HRTZ-II's.... my first gear is useless now.

Lets Talk About A/C!!! I have a question

I went with polys when I replaced mine and make sure you have an extra set of hands when you're doing it.

    Chevy engine in a Stang?!?!

I think it's just a 1974 mustang II all over again. When they re-did them for the 4th gen, they never really thought "oh yeah we have to cram that goofy looking LT-1 in there." Too bad the LS1 camaros look like the chrysler concord ...also Double-stuffed double stuffs FTW!!!
