    Flowmaster VS Magnaflow

magnas are deep (expecially for straight thrus) and have better performance. But for the closest possible to a V8, you have to get a cam, LTs, and chambered mufflers. A cam costs some, but the install is alot of money, and if you do a cam, might as well utilize the cam and get P&P heads, intake...

    Visual Upgrades?

Not only that, but painted on just looks smoother. Personally, I want a chin spoiler and I have been looking at http://store.shinodaperformance.com/media/99spoiler.jpg that spoiler. http://www.teamshinoda.com/images/boss_side.jpg that's how the chin spoiler on the front and the rear spoiler in...

    Turbo??

Matt has 560rwhp if I remember right from a 1995 3.8 stroked to 4.2. Justin runs 10.996 with his 17psi twin turbo setup. But don't forget M113 setup the other Matt on 3.8 is building. He ran 22psi on a forged 4.2 and threw in a shot of nitrous for cooling, but the boost took out the head gasket...

    Turbo??

the 1995 V6 single port started off with like 145bhp, he is sitting at 560rwhp running high 9's. The splitport would probably be alot easier I would think because of the 45 extra hp. Anything could be built, if there is a will, there is a way. Ask some magazine who cut up a guy's car to just a...

    Turbo??

2000 V6 stock bottom end, 17psi, 10.996, these engines handle alot more than you think. a 1995 single port really built up ran 9.851 and he can still drive around town. But most people still get forged bottom end around 12psi. As far as costs, a 1999 GT was $13,000 to a 2002 V6 which was $10,000...

    v6 dual exhuast advice

Magnapacks are a variation of Glasspacks, it's just they change something (possibly the width of the tube inside, I dunno) which causes the sound waves to bounce off and around, muffling the sound and creating a deep low tone, yet still being loud and aggressive.

    Turbo??

11psi Procharged V6s throw out alittle over 300rwhp, compared to a GTs 220-ish rwhp. A 7psi turbo put out 297rwhp and 322 rwtq on an automatic V6.

performance gains for 02v6 5 spd

Yeah, gears themselves loose no HP. The micronite stuff decreases friction losses if it really does work. That dyno doesn't say everything really, temprature and humidity differences and even the exact octane ratio and combustion can EASILY about for 10hp shifts. Looking at it, the 2nd dyno was...

    Flex Fuel Mustang

In Houston, all gas is 10% ethenol. Car runs, but it's slightly leaner and lossed some power. As for E85, couldn't say what would happen when you put gas that is 85% ethenol in. Ethenol doesn't burn as strong as octane/heptane.

    v6 dual exhuast advice

Don't know how long the break in period is for mufflers. Ported heads alone wont help much, cams ($275-ish+a hefty install cost) change it the most, but usually when you get a performance cam, people port the heads and intake all to match and get the most gains out of everything...

    Tire size question

Changing from 215/60R15 to 225/60 would make the speedometer off by 0.4mph at 20mph, 1.1mph at 60mph, and 1.8 at 100mph, very minute speed variations really. But according to discount tire, 94's came with 205/65R-15, and if a 225 tire would fit on the rim (I think the rim is 7" wide, 225 is 9"...

performance gains for 02v6 5 spd

Gears are good, on the stock V6 going from 3.27 to 3.73 gears does reduce the quarter mile ET by a little under half a second, a definately noticable mod. Cost wise, it can be $300-ish for the gears and a T-lok, then the install and getting the ECU corrected for the gears (chip is around $200...

    v6 dual exhuast advice

Changing the Y-Y pipes to an H or X or even straight pipes will make some difference sound and performance wise, but I don't know exactly how much sound wise. And if you haven't had the flows on very long, give them a couple months because they have to break in. Once any muffler breaks in, they...

performance gains for 02v6 5 spd

they don't truely change the power just amplify how fast the revolutions increase to put the power down, but the farther from a 1:1 ratio the gears are, the more a dyno is off. The only way you really could get hp out of gears, is make them so they have less losses to heat, in which case more...

    v6 dual exhuast advice

Yeah, that is true. Plus if I remember right, with flowmasters and all stock cats, it's a good idea to have a slight bit bigger size because the backpressure those create by themselves. I know the size after the muffler makes very little to no difference because most of the pressure is caused by...

    v6 dual exhuast advice

For a completely stock V6, you want 2-2.25" dual exhaust, somewhat modified about 2.25 is good, but if you go all out then you need bigger. But with 2.5" duals, it just shifts the power higher up. In some cases it good be good, like when you race and shift the rpms goto 3000, you want your power...

    Car troubles please help...

Try cleaning the IAC. Just pull off the intake and spray some carb cleaner into the IAC which should be connected to the throttle body. Should be some small holes that lead to it. Usually, if it has a problem idling and the solution is to press the gas slightly, it's usually the Idle Air Control.

    Turbo??

The turbo, root blowers and the centrifical superchargers have all been added to the V6 in one way or another, but the roots can be the hardest or time consuming as an upper intake would have to be fabricated to get the blower to be mounted and ran but you need an extra 2.5" of clearance because...

    v6 dual exhuast advice

No, mustangs don't have resonators. If you want to add one, it would be between the cats and the muffler, but in order to add them you would need high-flow cats on both sides and straight pipes, no crossover like H or X pipes. Adding a straight through tuned resonator will deepen the tone...

    v6 dual exhuast advice

Backpressure is true, if you went with 2.5" piping, you would loose force due to loss of the scavenging effect (as the exhaust comes out, the pressure differences pull the exhaust out of the cylinder reducing how much the engine has to work) and it really wont be any different. Unless you plan...
