    i think i messed it up

    sounds like to me it overheated pretty bad. from what you told us...i don't think you damaged anything.....thats just what happenes when it overheats. buy new water pump,thremostat,should fire right up......ohh..and of course..put some antifreeze in and thennn it should fire right up.

    the size of speaker wire has really no noticeable effect on the subs 0r speakers. there is like a o.1 db difference between 4ga and 14ga. so as long as your not trying to run a city......you'll be fine with 12-14 ga for all speakers.

    how much compression you have has nothing at all to do with what battery your running. all red tops are the same size..same as the yellow and blue tops........if i was you....i'd go with the red top. be perfect for your needs.

    most commonly used is 3/4" mdf. fiberglass can be used as well......i think like 1/4" fiberglass=3/4" mdf...i heard that somewhere. usually fiberglass is used to get as much air space as possible and for custom boxes.

    amp wiring help (in hatchback 5.0)

    In my mustang...i drilled a new hole for the power wire and put in a gromet. before that i had it running through the steering shaft hole.as for the ground anywhere thats bare metal..no paint or dirt....in the trunk will be a good place. on the taillight panel is a good spot...out of the way...
