    Still Running Hot

The point is if you have a blown head gasket or even just a small hole in the radiator letting air in you WILL NOT be able to get your infamous air pocket out. I am not disagreeing that you need to remove it, I would just perform the steps to ensure you have a good set of gaskets and your...

I think that it is a possibility if he has followed all steps to bleeding the system and still is having the reoccurring issue. Do you think that having a bad head gasket is out of the question? I would like to understand your thought process on this. I know first hand chasing a "air pocket" or...

If you have a set of extra hands and someone who is knowledgeable about cars you can do it yourself for price of head gaskets. You will know once you take the heads off if the gaskets are blown but you should still have your heads surfaced and use a flat blade razor and clean the block as much...

Wish I had the time and money to fully go into it with my car. I still say you have got to have the most amazing spouse ever putting up with all your hours involved in your hobby.

I personally would have done a full flush whenever you changed the stat. But we are not talking about me. With that being said if your still getting residue on your new cap I would say its worth fully flushing. I would not be surprised if your head gasket had a small hole or tear in it pushing...

Yes, I have had serious concern with all these cheap aftermarket parts such as t-stats and caps. They never fail to leave me on the side of the road. Lobster hand technique is always a alternative to making a funnel...you just make a good sized coolant mess in the process.

Wish you would have helped me back in 05' I had a account from 99 and after some major life changes I forgot my info and/or my email was hacked (pretty sure that was the case). None the less I actually had 6 more years of posting and being around that went unaccounted for.

Yes same engine same cooling design. Mikestang you may have problems with that lever type cap. I have had two on my 95 and it was nothing but a problem maker. I will always use a standard pressure cap. No need to use anything fancy when it works the way Ford designed it to.

I agree that people tend to sort of come and go but as for the sn95 guys. We have the same core group that has been around for years and few are more active than others but they always come back eventually. We have even added a few new guys here and there. Definitely a rare breed. I have always...

Well I just got home from picking up my 6 year old from her friends house and her face had some chocolate ice cream left over on it. I kind of chuckled and thought of you right away.

To me it looks like a safe guard from spilling coolant all over the place whenever the t-stat opens and it will return that coolant once the air flows out instead of refilling yourself I would still jack up the cars front end and use the same process.

Hey Ry94 Still Love That Car?

He did have a pretty detailed affection for it whenever he first got it. Regardless don't let the downsides of owning a older car steer you away. Plenty of ups to go with the downs. Just remember its a learning process and at some point you will either be grateful for your car and what you...

Find a new hatch or reweld and drill new holes seems like your two options. Unless you put your counter top back on.

    A Pretty Sight

I have a cobra front bumper so its not useful for me but yes you can get those from LMR and are quality pieces. I had one on my 95 GT. I figure tomorrow I might be going to see what small parts I can touch up with paint and/or redo and increase some small appearance issues.
