    Magnapacks Install

I would also "loose fit" the system, then tweak it so it fits properly. Make sure it is clear of the rear swaybar too.

    Best Tire for 17 X 10.5 Rims?

I don't disagree. Just from my viewpoint the Goodyear is a better street tire. If you need to hook that well to need a drag radial like a BFG DR or a Nitto 555, definitely go with them. My car is a daily driver, and the goodyear "should" last longer.....it has a higher treadwear, deeper tread...

    Best Tire for 17 X 10.5 Rims?

I believe he said he wanted a street tire with a high treadwear rating....not a drag radial.... :notnice: I would agree the nitto will have better grip, but the goodyear will be a much better street tire.

    Best Tire for 17 X 10.5 Rims?

I love my F1's.....they are great in wet weather so far, and have wore well. I have about 10k on them and they still have plenty of treadlife left. :nice:

    FIPK, Magnapacks and PINGING!

That's exactly what I thought too. I reset the EEC about two weeks ago, and I have driven over 500 miles since then.... I can't put the maf screen back on since it will not fit with the K&N CAI. I hate to have to take off the CAI, but it sounds like I may have no other choice. I will try...

    FIPK, Magnapacks and PINGING!

I have a 03 GT with an FIPK2 and a magnapack catback. I currently run 87 octane, and it pings with any load on the engine. I plan to try a tank of 89 to see if that helps, but can anyone else think of other things to check?

Yeah, because when it breaks, after your warranty, they can fix it and charge you an arm and a leg - literally... :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :D :D :bang: :bang: Oh well, it gives us mustang owners a good reason to regear to 4:10! :nice:

I don't think it's that loose..... And if it was, I would think you would chip the ring or pinion gear before shearing the driveshaft tube or blowing a u-joint...

I have heard that it is because Ford sets up the rear end gears looser than they should be....

Just give it a good tug, and it will come off. It's held in by a few clips. Sounds like you need to keep the rpms up a bit more between shifts. When you shift between gears you need to feather in some gas.....basically, you want to match the engine rpms with the rpms of the rest of the...

I have major dash rattle from the piece around the stereo and climate controls. What I did was remove it and slather show goo at all the joints.....sound is gone now! I have the 5th gear "problem".... It's not really a problem if you let the clutch out a bit slower. I think this is normal...

    Anyone using Hankook tires?

I have the Ventus K104's on the front (275/40/17), and have about 6000 miles on them with no noticeable wear. They will surely outlast the Goodyear F1-DS's I have in the rear...
