To do a mail order tune or on the dyno?

you will need to tune it for the larger injectors to make it to the tuner. using 39-42 lb injectors with 19lb injector tune will make it hard to start or run. if your handheld will let you flash the injector size into it. the dyno operator can abort if the run is lean. it can save your motor.

    The new 5.0 in a SN95???

those same folks used to argue to me about the cost of modding...until they saw me build and swap motors every few years. for fun. a 435rwhp 5 liter in a lightened SN95 would rule. im telling you its the ****. and do it on motor.

Would you trade in a mach1 on a new 5.0?

if i took you for a ride in my heavy sedan you would **** your pants. you have no idea what you are talking about. my car pulls about 1g stock. my 300A will lap faster than the heavier 400a they tested against the M3. i own a 505rwhp sn95 turbo right now. its a childs car in car dynamics...

Would you trade in a mach1 on a new 5.0?

i know a little about 50 state street legal. cats, EGR, legal tune. CARB certification parts. your sn95 2 valve or 4 valve has to keep all of that equipment. I know of ONE legal sn that can reach 800hp. a termi. so you must be pulling the termi card. with 50 state legal shorties, blower...

Would you trade in a mach1 on a new 5.0?

i took a wealthy woman friend of mine for a ride in mine yesterday. the loved the refinement. love the ride, handling, stereo, etc. she may get one. she does not consider fords. she does now. ford got the 2011 right. it IS too quiet and a bit souless like you say. my 96 has far more...

make sure you clear the PCM's fuel trims by removing the negative battery cable for a while. that should help.

Would you trade in a mach1 on a new 5.0?

you are on crack man. there is no dealer anywhere in the world selling them for a loss. V6, yes. GT no way. dude get the base model and mod it. keep the mach1 if you can. if not, once you feel the handling and power every day you will never go back. lethal tune, filter, and offroad xpipe...

    The new 5.0 in a SN95???

6k plus your existing mods? or a stock SN95 plus 6k in mods. cuz a coyote will make more power with bolt ons than your 2v can make with a blower. now if you are saying your mods plus 6k, a blown coyote makes ~600rwhp at 8-9 psi.

Orderd 2011 Mustang GT 9.5 weeks ago. No vin yet.

coyote's rock. wait till you add a tune to it. it behaves like a beast when its tuned. night and day difference. mine's far stronger tuned.

What kind of block is this? Pics...

stock bore maybe .008" max over. stock stroke with a kellogg crank, billet CNC rods, 2618 pistons. 1000-1200 hp will not stress that block.

    4.6 2V stock HP/torque specs vs oldler 5.0?

no, they will not even be close. even iron gt40 heads flow 215 cfm vs 169-177 for PI's. fully ported E7's flow about the same as a stock PI. you need to define H/C/I a little. canfield heads, track heat intake, massive cam will ruin all PI headed 4.6's.

    4.6 2V stock HP/torque specs vs oldler 5.0?

i said PI heads outflow E7's. i thought that said the same thing.

Something that has been driving me crazy!

No most do not have hemi chambers. a 4.6 2v has inline valves and closed combustion chambers. most pushrod motors today also are inline. chevrolet considers their combustion chambers to be pent-roof even though they have 2 valves. most prent roof chambers have 3 4 or 5 valves. they...

Something that has been driving me crazy!

the hemi was invented as follows: Chrysler gets the credit for the Hemi, but its origin is traced to the Chelsea Manufacturing Company, Chelsea, Michigan, which produced the Welch horseless carriage. The 1903 Welch was the first to use a hemispherical combustion chamber design in its...
