    I recently changed my spark plugs and to my dismay found oil on the threads of #3 and #4 and a little on the plug boot of #4. The spark plugs themselves were not fouled just regular wear. Does anyone one know the cause of this, and how much will the repair cost me?:nice: no, wait.....:notnice:

    Well the vss signal goes to the speedcal and then the signal goes to the gauge cluster and that might be the problem. I don't think the back fire is caused by the iac. Usually when the iac is bad it causes the car to stall and you would have to keep your foot on the pedal to keep the engine...

    I've heard the speedcal makes alot of problems when it goes bad, what exactly, I'm not sure. I'd start with the easier one and take out the chip and if that doesn't fix it, pull the speedcal which is a little more work.

    I just got 373's on my cobra at 70 mph you will be turning 2400 -2500 rpms. Still good for the highway and better acceleration(sp). It should have been the stock gearing IMO.

    I paid 700 for gears, installation, bearing kit, traction lok rebuild, and a four wheel alignment. Plus 80 for a speedcal which I installed myself. BTW I got 373's and I love them.

    99 cobra 82k miles. Runs great, but found oil on top of #4 spark plug and on the threads of plug number 8. Valve cover gaskets maybe?
