    ATTN: All those with hood scoops.

    Personally, I like the 83 GT hood scoop. It's designed to fit the contours of an 83-93 hood. The 79-82 scoop is designed to fit the hood of those years, and does not line up with the lines & shape of the later model ones.

    Actually, I believe that the top part of your car is "Dark Cordovan Metallic" which is more of a maroon color. My first Mustang was an 82 Coupe painted that color.

    Usually on red cars there is a color difference because the factory did not clearcoat under the hood. Judging from the pictures of that Saleen, it probably wasn't repainted. It looks very original. Even has the window sticker on it.

    Greetings, I'm new here. Here's a few pics of my two 86's. The Coupe is stock & 1 of 24 painted that color. The GT is modified and a work in progress.
