    Good Carburated Intake

Yeah duel plane is the way to go for low end power. The Edelbrock Performer series are by far the best options for street use. Like I said the RPM performer is a great intake, high rise duel plane, but the RPM Air Gap Performer is a step up from it, offering a slightly higher rise and for air...

    2400-2600 stall too little?

Go with 2800-3200 stall for a killer launch on the street and strip. 3200 stall is high but still streetable and gives a heck of a stronger launch than 2400-2600. B&M, TCI, they are all pretty much the same. They are all good companies with the same performance, all depends on how hard you run...

    Can anyone estimate my horsepower??

oh okay. well thats cool 300 horsepower at the rear wheels is awesome!! i was only making like 200 to the rear with my stock motor with just a 4 barell carb and aluminum intake.

    Can anyone estimate my horsepower??

Thats what i figured. thats still pretty good for the street though. what do you think the engine is producing at flywheel?

    Good Carburated Intake

I am really happy with my duel plane high rise edelbrock RPM performer intake. It flows really well on the low end and top end. I noticed a lot more quicker RPM's on the low end

    Can anyone estimate my horsepower??

Hey I'm building a new motor for my car, i was wandering if anyone is good at estimating horsepower out of modifications, and if they could take a guess at what mine might be after Im done with it? Well Its a 302 bored over .030 with 165 AFR heads, edelbrock RPM performer intake, 650 duel feed...

    185 AFR heads on 302

That is what i was thinking too. I guess i couldnt go with the TW heads either, their valves are jsut as big as the 185's. 2.02 intake, and i think 1.60 enxhaust

    185 AFR heads on 302

Thats crazy (the results on that graph). and the higher hp producing motor was with 185's? and the 165 heads were the bottom result?

    185 AFR heads on 302

I figured with the high lift i can get out of the F cam (.544) and its low duration it would make a mean low end torque machine

    185 AFR heads on 302

That would be great. I dont know about going with 185's though because my P/V clearance is going to be close...my cam has a lift of .512, and if i use the 1.7 roller rockers it will be .544. With flat top pistons w/ 2 valve releifs, that will be cutting it close. i might just get the afr 165

    185 AFR heads on 302

thats what i was thinking too. are 165's worth the extra $300 over TFS twisted wedge heads? i heard the TFS TW flow just as good as AFR 165 heads

    Fall Carlisle

Its not that bad, i live right here in carlisle. Its awesome at night when the car shows in town, everyones cruising the block in their mustangs, camaros, trans ams, buicks. lots of street racing going on. many "flea market stands" where you can purchase just about any poart from vintage 289...

    185 AFR heads on 302

would anyone reccommend the 185's over the 165's? the 185's flow a little better than the 165's do on the flow chart. but are the 2.02 intake valves too big for a streetable 302 with a high lift cam and flat tops? some one had told me the 185's were for more larger small blocks like 351 or 347...

Comp cam Xtreme energy cams VS F303

hows your 270hr cam run for you? someone reccommended that one to me. i was looking at the 281hr cam though, larger lift.

Comp cam Xtreme energy cams VS F303

yeah but what im asking is if the comp cams are worth the extra $300. the comp cams and lifters set are $300 more than a alpha cam and lifters. i just wanna know if the comp cams (with the same lsa, lift and duration) of an alpha cam is a lot MORE performance or just a little bit. i dont want to...

How much is the stock intake holding me back?

def go carburetor. u can work on them easy and get more power. im running a 600 holley on mine and its great. u have easy time taking turbo imports with that f303?

How much is the stock intake holding me back?

yeah the intake really makes a difference on how the heads flow. if ur running aftermarket heads with stock intake ur losing quite a bit air flow through those bigger ports on the heads.

How much is the stock intake holding me back?

well i know when i changed the intake on my 5.0 and put an edelbrochy performer rpm intake on it it made a hella difference. I was reaching Rpm's way quicker and able to squeeze 500 extra rpm's out of each gear than i could with the stock intake. by the way how do you like ur f303 cam? im...

Comp cam Xtreme energy cams VS F303

deciding on which cam to choose, F303 cam is a good cam 226 duration, 5.12 lift w/ 1.7 roller .544 lift. has great choppy idle too. Comp Cams offers the xe281hr cam with 220/220 duration, .512 lift w/ 1.6 rockers too. both cams have same LSA, but the F303 is A LOT cheaper than the comp cam. is...
