    When I worked for General Motors they told us never to make that claim, because the hood blanket can actually catch fire and contribute to the engine fire. It is in no way a guarantee that it will put out any engine fire. It's intention is NOT to put out fires.

    I have my hood liner off and have no problems. It looks better without it anyhow. It mainly is there to reduce the engine noise.

    Wheels for Mineral Grey GT

    I don't like chrome on my Mineral Grey. I would go with flat black rims if they were available. Or have the stockers painted. Also, have you bought the FRPP plenum cover? It is a close match to Mineral Grey color and really cleaned up the engine bay appearance.
