    Is anyone NOT satified with their 4.10 gears?

    I have a TR 3650 tranny. Currently I run at 1920 RPM at 70 mph and my calculations are 2352 RPM w/3.73's and 2450 RPM w/4.10's. Stock gear is 3.27's and I believe 4.10's will be a 25% increase in RPM across the board. Do you agree?

    I'm getin' ready to do gears on an '01 naturally aspirated Cobra this winter and I'm leaning towards 4.10's. I only use the car on nice days, no rain, no snow. I put about 4k on it a year for miles. It's possible I'll do a 75 to 100 shot of Nitrous next year which would bring RWHP to the high...

    Your opinion, Can I run 11's ?

    This past summer in MM&FF's, they had a Cobra / Mach1 shoot out. Sixth place went to a guy from GA with an '01 Cobra, CAI, Bassani exhaust, 4.30's with Drag Radials and a dyno tune and he turned 12.45 @ 109.33. A bit steeper gear but I've got a 100 shot.

    I have a N/A '01 Cobra with a JLT RAI, Zoom Stage 2 Clutch, Mac O/R H Midpipe, Flowmaster 40's, Nitto Drag Radials, 4.10's and a Zex 100 shot of N2O. Can I break into the 11's?

    '01 Cobra Gears

    I'm doing 3.73's this spring on my '01 Cobra and here's the calculations I used to decide what I wanted. (3.27 is the stock gear, Tremec 3650 is the stock transmission) 4th gear @ 40 mph w/3.27's = 1700 ... w/3.73's = 2040 ... w/4.10's = 2125 4th gear @ 30 mph w/3.27's =1275 ...

    Worse gas mileage with restrictor plate?

    This isn't really a problem. It's done on purpose to lower emissions. I installed this one I purchased from ebay and it works fine. It's made out of a heavy Mr Gasket gasket material so you don't need any sealant or additional gaskets. I've had no change in gas mileage either...

    Window Motor crapped out

    My experience with a Ford Ranger: Window went down and wouldn't go back up but the motor ran. I purchased a new motor assembly only to find out it was a gear. New motor assembly didn't come with the gear but the parts store sold it separately. Bought one. Wasted some money there.

    Newer Cobras come with ceramic. IMO these are equivalent.

    Clutch noise

    The TB on these cars continues to touch the pressure plate with the clutch out. I had to replace mine this past winter and added a return spring on the fork to pull the TB off the plate. Works great and the TB will last that much longer.

    What pads with Brembo rotors?

    If you want a good pad for a reasonable price, that's quiet, low dust and made of ceramic, go with Raybestos Quiet Stop's. Fantastic pad for about $65 a set and you can buy them locally.

    Aluminium flywheel is only a recommendation. Resurface your old flywheel at a good performance machine shop and you'll be fine. Clean the surfaces of flywheel, disk and pressure plate with brake cleaner and when you think it's clean, clean it again after which don't touch any of the surfaces...

    Problems on the way home.

    I'm voting for the filter. Runs hard, fuel pumps pushing the dirt against the filter, clogging it, car dies. Shut car off, pump stops, dirt falls, start car up and it's OK for a while. Gas car up, runs good for a while because..............sorry, I got nothing for that.
