    I heard this from a Shade Tree Mechanic... sound wierd, but it might work.

    The atf is also an old mechanics trick to lube the valve train. When I worked at a chemical company we used to mix up some nice fuel system cleaners.

    I've never had luck with stop-leak stuff. Brake fluid is supposed to do the same thing (swell the seals) Use a good quality atf too, not real cheap stuff.

    Have you verified what speedo drive gear is in it? I assumed mine had an 8t, I checked before I ordered one and ends up it has a 7t. Don't let anyone just tell you which gear to use, check everything out and get the right one the first time. This will tell you what speedo gear combo...

    This might be a good thread to ask my question. My neighbor has a set of 351 Boss heads and the intake. Is the Boss a cleveland? My god the ports are huge on these beasts.

    firing order... hmm...

    Someone probably put a regular 302 cam in it, if so you need to time it as a 302. i timed an HO like a regular 302 once, it wasn't pretty. Even if it's a non-HO motor totally I wouldn't be too worried. Any 302 is a good motor and can be built well.
