Might have found EFI fuel tank solution... from strange source

Very true Worth, that is normally the cheapest and easiet solution. However, I've read and heard lots of accounts of problems in corners with less than 1/4 tank. Now there are adaptors (I think holley makes one) that spreads out like 3 pick up points into the tank of the sending unit. But...

How do I install a helicoil?

I was taught by my pops who used them in the mfg company he worked for. Used them for steel thread in alluminum parts and they installed them exactly as I put it  no loctite or anything. I've heard of those cat inserts, 'spose to be easier to use, but I'm pretty sure they are harder to...

    serpentine setup?

I pulled mine apparently off of a later model ford truck. In order to start on your's you are basically gonna need a new balancer with the 4 hole mount, then go hunting in the junk yard. The alt can be done easy with a spacer for the furthest bolt on the head and a tension rod using two heim...

Might have found EFI fuel tank solution... from strange source

Yes, as far as I know just about all EFI tanks had some sort of baffling in them from the OEM.... and the replacement tanks should have the same baffling. The filler pipe will have to welded/brazed/bolted/screwed/etc. into place and the other holes will have to be closed off. As far as I can...

Might have found EFI fuel tank solution... from strange source

Yes, as far as my catalog is concerned the dimensions (L x W) are the same. When I ran it through the computer, I think it cost about 170$ for a new tank. That was through our vendor though, another vendor or another source may be cheaper.

Might have found EFI fuel tank solution... from strange source

So saturday night was an amazing boring night at 'teh Zone, so I started browsing through our catalogues that we got laying around in the back. I come upon our oil pan/gastank/fuel sending vendor. Start leafing through. I found pictures in the back of the fuel tanks and they had sizes listed...

    1970 Ignition Switch

As far as I know absolutely no one makes a '70 switch ( I had same problem). I took one from a 73 and cut my original wires and soldered them onto the new switch. Worked like a charm. The only difference is that the 73 switch has a different connector and a shorter harness

How do I install a helicoil?

Ok... first you're gonna need to correct drill bit for the OD of the tap... the tap itself, the helicoil, and the helicoil instalation tool. 1. Drill hole as perpendicular to surface as possible, do your best not to ream it out any. 2. Use the tap and tap the thread into the new hole...

Yes, I too am a victim...

WEll, finally got off my ass today and with a couple friends began stripping the interior of my mustang. Most of it came out pretty easy. And surprise suprise, there's rust. It looks like I'm gonna need an entire driver foot well and partial toe board, and a partial passenger footwell. That...

    Platinum Spark Plugs

I wouldn't run platinum plugs in anything unless specified. As far as I know the performance gains (if any) are nill. I noticed a big difference when I switched off the POs bosch platinums to regular motorcrafts. If you do decide to throw in a platinum plug, I'd try the autolite first (should...

Anyone running 16x8 wheels with 13" rotors? SSBC kit

I'm not sure about that... when I was ordering my Baer kit, I asked for the 12" rotors and the tech on the phone asked what wheels I was running. I told him 16X8 V48s and he said that I could go with the track kit at 13" and fit fine... I'd say contact the company and see what they say

ANOTHER coil-over kit -- Ron Morris Performance

For some reason the clevis ends on the strut rod just seem like a bad idea to me... i know the main load is in the shear, but if it's possible to break a strut rod it seems like that'd be a little weak to me

Help me FINISH my first engine!!!

OOOOOH, spiffy wear pattern Ash :nice: tyler: The 5.0 isn't the same as a 302 from the early cars. Very similar yes, but not the same. The main point is the different cam bore size for the roller cam and the bosses cast and then drilled for the spider in the lifter valley. Also has revised...

What to do what to do what to do?

Alright... finals are finally over and I actually have a little time to work on the stang. Unfortunately, I'm now stuck as to how I want to proceed. Couple months back I got a storage shed and parked it in there to start working on it. I already went through the EFI harness I have a just need to...

Order Wide cap kit or Tell them what at the parts store?

I know autozone has one-- I forget the number. If someone knows 5.0s they should be able to grab you one. I'm not sure if you needed a special rotor to go with it though- I'm drawing a blank on that one... if it's not answered by like tomorrow I can prob grab a p/n#
