    KB 9psi questions

If you are happy with 350 don't worry about the upgrades. If you want to get upwards of 400 get all the upgrades except the Boost-a-spark. I was told it wasn't needed under 14 psi

Is an aluminum radiator worth the $$??

Not really. Maybe if you are stuck in traffic, driving hard or racing.

Allen supercharger safe at 9 psi??

If you do go to 9 psi make sure you get it retuned. I am pretty sure their kit is only tuned for the 6 psi pulley. Going up 3 PSI may require additional octane unless it is retuned.

    New Kenne Bell #'s

Great Dan, I have seen numbers that indicate the Slowmasters robbed power and this looks to prove it again. FWIW you are putting numbers very close to my stock 2001 KB with a Magnaflow catback. I have dynoed a few times. Different dynos, different days. At KB my lowest numbers were 385 rwhp in...

    Kenne Bell 2v 9lb kit...

Sparkplugs are the only thing you need other than some misc. supplies (coolant, electrical tape, locktite, etc.)

    Kenne Bell 2v 9lb kit...

I was at KB last week and from what I understood it sounds like it will be a while longer for the GT 2.2L race kit. They had a problem with the motor they had built and had to send it back. Also they are putting all of their efforts into getting the 99-01 Cobra kit finished right now.

    Kenne Bell 2v 9lb kit...

High 11's, low 12's. I did 12.3 @ 114 in Phoenix my first time out. Only mod other than the KB was a Magnaflow catback. This with stock gearing, full tank of gas, luggage, tools, etc. I think the car has an 11 in it as it sits with more practice and less weight. I have seen others post times...

    Kenne Bell 2v 9lb kit...

Going up in boost has to be supported with additional octane with their chip. The tune is setup to work on 91 octane. I think you can run the 10 psi pulley with 93/94 octane but check with them to be sure. Each pound of addtional boost equals about 15 rwhp or so. You may not want to push it.

Bullitt 10.5 Rear with 315/35/17s - Rubbing Issues?

It depends on your tire rim combo. I had Verde 10.5's with 315 Nitto Dr's and had no rubbing issues whatsover. Now I have Wheel Replicas 10.5 with 315 BFG KA's and I have damaged my lip on the wheel well and cut the tires. I am fairly certain it is the tires as they are noticably wider than the...

    Kenne Bell 2v 9lb kit...

The Snake Skinning boost article was on my car. See sig... The tune is safe for high heat and 91 octane here in SoCal so it should be good anywhere. Kenne Bell is located in one of the hottest areas in SoCal. My car was tuned in August during a heat wave. I have had my car running through the...

    Rear Bullitt/Cobra Brakes

It is pretty easy to change the axles. And you get the benefit of checking out your gears for any damage and changing the diff fluid.

New tires on deep dish bullits, rear 315 tire rubbing, what to do?

Roll the fenders. Get a baseball bat and hammer the lip up.

    Kenne Bell vs. Mongoose Kit

A few things might increase the price such as an 8 rib pulley setup, all of the upgrades (maf, big tube kit, tb, etc.), bigger more expensive injectors, BAS, maybe even a fuel pump upgrade in addition to the BAP. I see it adding up quick. It might even surpass the cost of the new Cobra kit.

    Kenne Bell vs. Mongoose Kit

To answer a few questions here; Just like a 03-04 Cobra, traction isn't as big as a problem as you think on the street. Although drag racing with a stock suspension and tires you will have some difficulties (I did, needed slicks) The KB 1.7L GT kit is only good to a about 550 rwhp. They may...

    Kenne Bell vs. Mongoose Kit

No, the oil is self contained.

    Kenne Bell vs. Mongoose Kit

Just to clear something up from a post above. With the KB you are not in boost unless you are in the throttle. Even though the screws are turning and always creating boost it has a bypass valve that operates via vacuum. The power is very linear and controllable with the position of the gas...

    Kenne Bell vs. Mongoose Kit

The KB kits are complete. Nothing else that you need to buy. Not even a tune-use theirs unless you want to risk your motor living on the edge. Pulley's are available from 6#-14#. Takes only a couple of minutes to change. Just be sure to support 10# and up with the required additional octane...

My first dyno run on KB!!!

I bet that isn't a KB tune. Not with an a/f like that.
