    Timing ? for 1967 Mustang

usually you want to set your timing so that the total advance doesnt go over 40. If you have a stock distributor, there are plates underneath that have values attached, and they can be reversed as needed to curve the distributor to get the desired timing. You may not have to go thru all...

    Suspension Frustrations

how wide and how tall of a tire are you running? You might be able to solve the problem with a low profile tire, or one that is less wide so it clears the fender. As far as the metal to metal sound, do you have the rubber insulators installed on the front coils?

    1969 mach 1 steering problems

worn out shock absorbers can cause erratic handling, so can worn bushings. Did the previous owner replace everything on the front end, and did he/she use correct parts? Sometimes people install the wrong parts, which adds to the problem. Old Stangs dont handle all that great, but it...

    rear end leaking??

should be able to see where its leaking from. Are you sure the stain isnt brake fluid instead of rear end grease? I ask this because there is a tee fitting that connects the brake lines from each wheel to the line that runs to the front of the vehicle, it usually sits on top of the rear...

    Fuel Tank Sending Unit

common for a part that hasnt been moved in 35 years. I had the same type of problem on my steering gear box. I finally got it to budge after letting alot of WD40 soak in. Liquid wrench is good too, but you may have to drench it and let it sit awhile before trying again. I dont know of any...

    4.6 help needed

You may have a point. I have been listening to the pump activate when I turn the key on, but maybe its getting weak due to the mileage and age of the vehicle. I think I am gonna try changing the fuel filter first, I suspect it is the original, and if that doesnt work, I will take your...

    4.6 help needed

I just bought a 98 Gt 5speed, stock motor. It cranks a very long time before finally starting. I found the air filter, throttle body and maf very dirty, so I cleaned them. The original plugs were worn out so I replaced them with new autolite platinum. The engine definitely runs smoother...

    Fair Price??

I dont think they made a Grande in fastback style, could be wrong though. I think the Grande was more of a luxury trim package. Mach 1 was a performance package, the two cars are apples and oranges.

    Burning smell after changing brakes?

usually new pads take about 200 miles to fully seat to the rotor or drum. However, I am wondering if your brakes are adjusted too tight? You might want to recheck them.

any tips to get reverse light bulbs out of the rear?

I thought I had a wiring problem too, as the bulb was good. Turned out to be making a poor connection inside the socket. CLeaned it with electric contact cleaner and reinstalled it and it works fine. Try that before tracing wiring.
