    I guess it depends on how you intend to drive the car. A 351 4V will certainly be potent and fun to drive, and an easy install. A big block would probably be a better choice if you are limiting your use to the quarter mile drag strip.

    starter is dragging as its most likely overheating because the exhaust pipes are real close to it. As stated, you can purchase a heat shield for the starter. . Another possible fix is a high torque mini starter, which gives you more space from the exhaust.

    I am unclear as to how a new master cylinder doesnt have the rod/piston in it? Are you by chance referring to the power brake booster rod? I bought an oreilly master cylinder and it came complete, but they dont come with a brake booster rod.

    Rear Brake Line, One piece??

    Mine is one piece from the front distribution block to the block at the rear end, then it splits into separate lines to each wheel. I would think you are better off with one piece, if you can get it made to fit.
