Bumper Grill insert, why isn't this factory/OEM?

I have one to protect the heat exchanger for my intercooler. I think a replacement heat exchanger is like $600, so $80 to protect it seemed like a good idea.

    Need Help - Hood Clearance w/ S/C

I also would recommend Cervini or Kaenen; Mr. Bodykit is known for having fitment issues. Cervini is known for very high quality hoods.

    New tire question...

The 51 psi shown on the side of the tire is not what you should run them at. It is only the maximum safe air pressure according to Falken. If you run the max pressure it will ride awful, have pretty much zero grip and wear out the center of the tread extremely fast. Run the recommended...

Pics of 255's on stock 18's?

The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo is supposed to be a really good tire, it came in second in a Car and Driver tire comparison out of 8 tires I think. Beat some other well known tires like the Falken Azenis 615 and Kumho Ecsta RS.

    Fiberglass Hoods?

It will depend on who paints the hood I would think. I have a Steeda fiberglass hood and had it painted locally. They paint color matches perfect and the paint quality is better than the factory paint. It matches the rest of the car great, but if you get close you can see that there is a lot...

    Hood Insulation

Never heard of anyone having problems with a hood because they took it off, I have a Steeda hood with no liner and no problems even with the supercharger being hotter and closer than a normal intake manifold. I think you would be fine taking yours off.

    Supercharger Question...

Either way the Kenne Bell is more than capable of making enough power to blow the bottom end out of the engine, so don't bother with cams unless you are going with a built motor.

    Your thoughs on this Engine.

You would be better off trading your car in on a GT500 and putting the TVS on it. You will probably be around $25k to get that 5.4 running in your car. Starting with a GT500 will get you better brakes, a suspension designed for the weight and a clutch and transmission designed for the power.

    14" brakes or not

Unless you are fading the stock brakes, you probably don't need anything other than a good set of pads like the Hawk HPS. There are a lot of guys that track their cars and just get cooling ducts and good pads like the DTC-60 and DTC-70. I liked the way slotted rotors looked on my car as well...

    Pulley Swap

Yes, assuming you went with a smaller pulley it will lean out your A/F. You would need a retune for a larger one as well.

How much does the 05-09 GT Grille with foglights weigh?

Grill is 4.5 pounds. Here is the weight of pretty much all the parts on the car. How Much Does It Weigh? - WWW.S197FORUM.COM

What are the best tires I can get???

The RA1 and R888 are both road course tires not drag tires, if that is what you want then they are ok. If you are looking for drag tires then get one of the drag radials mentioned above. The NT05 comes in both street tire and drag radial, not sure which one you were looking at.

    ABS brakes and pad wear

Pretty sure the ABS only works when the sensors detect lockup, however the traction control is ABS based. When the TCS detects wheelspin, the system cuts engine power and applies the rear brakes. If the TCS comes on a lot you will be speeding up rear brake pad wear.

    race shocks and struts

I agree with walter on the HP+, as long as you stick to autocross. If you do actual track time you will need two sets of pads, where the HP+ would be good for the rears, with HT-10 on the fronts. The HPS will melt on the track, but will be fine for autocross, where I use them as well.

    race shocks and struts

I would not mount the A6 on the 19" wheels, put street tires on them and keep your 17" wheels for your track tires. The cheapest 19" A6 on tirerack was $308 and it was a narrow 235 width. If money is a consideration you might be better off going with the Nitto NT01, it will last a lot longer...

    race shocks and struts

Do you have any suspension modifications or are you stock? You should also probably give us some kind of budget that you are looking at. Any previous race experience? Where are you going to be racing? Just a little more information would help us give you suggestions. You will need more...

    Roush vs. Cervinis

I would get a set of wheels before I did any more body mods, but stick with whatever combination you like best. The body kit makes the stock 17s look a little undersized, the Roush Trak Pak wheels look good on silver cars. I personally don't like the side scoops all that much, but rest of it...

how much to install the handling pack

I installed my suspension by myself without any real problems or any help. I have the Roush stage 2 suspension but the install would be the same. I just used a floor jack and a couple jack stands I think. Do you not have a place to do the work or not confident that you could do it? I am sure...

    Solo or Autocross

I am not sure what the rules are for autocross where you are but I run in Porsche Club of America events and you don't need a cage, just a helmet. I don't know of any solo events anywhere near me. Try going to one of each to watch and see which one you like.
