    Deciding between Steeda LCAs

Oh, BTW...after I replaced my UCAs and LCAs I found that I had more noise from the rear transmit to the car. Not very loud but it is noticeable when you listen for it. I thinks it's from the stiffer bushings. If you got the spherical bushings it would be worse. But no matter, with the...

    Deciding between Steeda LCAs

The LCAs were really easy and I put them on in about 1hr. It helps to have multiple jacks to help keep the car up and move the axle around. They went in in no time. Steeda also gives you some special goo to spread on the bushings which will prevent any squeaks and sticks to them like glue. The...

    Deciding between Steeda LCAs

I have the Steeda upper and lower control arms. In their catalog it is the black ones with the red bushings. These are great control arms. I haven't had any problems with them and they are 10x better then the stock components. The combination of the two (UCA and LCA) keep the axle fixed at...

    Magnapack Cat-Back w/ Magnaflow X??

Johnlas, you lucky dog. No emmission requirements in Florida right? If I didn't have to worry about emmission tests I would have gone without the cats in my x-pipe as well and probably gotten long tubes too. That would've probably given me more reason to stay with the packs. In regards to...

    control arm bushings?

I read on one of the forums that there is actually a tool that will remove the UCA bushings. If I knew it was going to take me 4 hrs to take them out I would have bought the tool. I used drill, wire brush, drum sander, and torch to get the bushings out and clean them. I'm glad its done now but...

    control arm bushings?

Front or rear control arm bushings? I haven't done the fronts but I have done the rears when replacing my upper and lower control arms. The lower control arms were easy. The upper control arm bushings were a major PITA.

    Magnapack Cat-Back w/ Magnaflow X??

Magnaflow I first installed catted-X and left stock catback on. Felt increase in power. Later I added magnapack catback. No increase in power but definite increase in attitude and drone. The drone around 2k rpm gave me a headache. I bought Bassani baffles to tone the drone down which...

    Possible Driveshaft Problem, PLEASE HELP!

You might also want to check the distance between your exhaust pipes and the driveshaft. There's not a lot of space there in the first place so you might have knocked something loose. Also check your exhaust clamps to ensure they aren't hitting anything.

How to Correct Eibach Spring Sag Problem

If you want a lower drop then you can get rid of your spring isolators. In regards to one side being lower then the other I have the same problem except the difference is about 1/2 ". I've got Pro-kit springs as well. Maybe we need to add a 150lbs of weight in the passenger side to even things...

    steeda caster camber plate problems

Oops, I just said the same exact thing that Wes said. Sorry about that. Another thing to check is the dampener on your strut. Are you using the stock struts or something else?

    steeda caster camber plate problems

You might want to check underneath the c/c plate to ensure you don't have any extra space underneath it and the top on the strut. When I installed my c/c plates I had the top of the strut get caught on the edge of the c/c plate. It seemed like it was firmly seated with threads out of the top...

    lowering do's and donts

If you're planning to do the springs and shocks at the same time and you have the extra cash then I'd go ahead and do the UCA's and LCA's at the same time since you'll have everything taken apart. Even though the UCA's are a PITA I would definitely recommend replacing those as they are real...

Mustangs are Death Chariots in the rain, its Amazing

Couple of suggestions (1) get a better understanding of your Stangs handling limits and know how far to go depending on the weather conditions both accelerating and decelerating (2) if you're interested in better performance in the wet stuff...get tires that are perform better in it. I bought...

    eibach springs DONE!!!

For a huge difference get some decent shocks. When I replaced my springs at 35,000 miles I left my old shocks in and they were total crap. I installed the Bilsteins and the difference was huge. I especially noticed this taking corners at higher speed. With the stock stuff the car would lean...

    fullineexaust.com

Magnapacks have straight through 6" round mufflers. The Magnaflows are oval and are much larger (and heavier) then the ones in the pack catback. The internal tube is perforated in both mufflers. Difference is that with the Magnaflows the internal tube is at an angle instead of straight...

Steel shavings in oil...what to do?

Thanks for all the great replies. I'm pretty sure the shavings I'm getting are steel instead of aluminum since they shine in the sunlight. During my next oil change I will use a magnet to verify that they are steel and not aluminum. I found a magnetic plug listed on the Summit Racing site...

Steel shavings in oil...what to do?

What got broke? How much shavings did you find in your oil? When I changed mine this time I notice about 10-15 bits about the size of grain of sand. Time before that was twice as much.

Just got MM Subframes welded in yesterday & WOW...

You'll probably be fine with your BBK or a few reasons (1) BBK CAI components don't appear to be as thick or bulky like the C&L products (2) it appears that the bend of the BBK from the TB seems to be more direct then the C&L which will give you extra room (3) since your installing your STB...

Just got MM Subframes welded in yesterday & WOW...

No doubt there are some crap STBs out there and people that don't install them right. I put on my chrome-moly Steeda STB and tighted the mother out of the bolts and added a litte extra support behind the firewall and it made a big difference for me. I had cowl shake before I got the STB so it...

Steel shavings in oil...what to do?

Thanks for the info darkhorse. I think I'll check in the extended warranty to see what they cover as you mentioned. The only reason I stayed away from them so far was the cost. If it's covered then maybe I can swing a new engine which will be perfect for my future Kenne Bell. Hopefully...
