    Trying To Fix My A/c

Yeah I had heard/read that somewhere before that you didn't need as much 134a as you do with R12. Good thing cause I didn't want to crack open a third can for just a couple of ounces. Not looking forward to my truck, it takes like a couple of gallons of refrigerant.

    Trying To Fix My A/c

Got my new gauges in a few weeks ago. Finally got to the car today. It started taking refrigerant with the new gauges so I guess my friend's set is hosed. Took two cans (28-30 oz approx). Could only get it down to about 60 degrees in the shop. Felt good though. I didn't want to crack a third can...

    Lowering Springs And Tire Recommendations

What about regards to handling and ride? I am running H&R Road and Track springs, with 245/45/17's, have no rub, and the car sits level. Also consider it would be good for alignment if you put on a set of CC plates as well (I am running MM plates, they are very nice).

    82' Fox

Welcome! Very solid looking car. I highly recommend a set of MM full length sub frame connectors regardless of what you do.

    Cobra Pcm

I could be wrong, but I think the old Cobra MAF's were cal'd for 24's. So you could maybe use the one you have, worst case you would have to track down a Cobra MAF.

Been Out Of The Game Since 2006

Car being half painted like that makes me think there is a lot hiding under that new paint. Plus stuck in 5th equals a likely hosed transmission. That happened to me on my old 89 LX years ago (got stuck in 4th). Was able to get it unstuck so I could limp it home in 1st.

    Lx Only Exhaust/tail Pipe Thread

I have a Pypes Pype Bomb catback on my LX, fitment is good, sound is great, only real downside is the tips are rather huge. Pypes Pype-Bomb Mustang Catback Exhaust SFM29V (86 GT; 86-93 LX; 94-04 GT, Mach 1, Bullitt) - Free Shipping I got used to it though after looking at my GT with it's huge...

    Trying To Fix My A/c

Yeah I am suspecting the Schraders might be shot. Hoses aren't in real good shape on these gauges either. Yeah it is shooting up to 90 psi almost immediately, but when I open the system (popped on a one of those quick fill setups that I had laying around from a couple years ago) the system was...

    Trying To Fix My A/c

It is an older Harbor Freight set of gauges. I ordered a new set of Robinair gauges tonight, hopefully that will solve the issue.

    Trying To Fix My A/c

Yeah no I am doing that. I used it to purge the lines on the gauges to make sure the manifold valves were actually working. I am thinking the valve cores in the hoses are getting forced closed by the pressure of the refrigerant in the can and I am only reading the pressure in the lines. Nothing...

    Trying To Fix My A/c

Hey guys, kind of frustrated here. Could years ago I had a slow leak in my a/c system on the LX. This was right about the time I was planning on swapping the engine. I discovered it was the high pressure hose that was leaking so I swapped it out while I had everything apart. Fast forward to...

Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

One of them is loose on the pass quarter on my LX. I just chuckle when I see it move while washing it. Which is like, never.

New 18" Black Chrome Saleens And Lowering Springs For The Notch

Cool. Yeah mine rub at full lock also (rim on the A arm). I want to go 18x9's or 18x10's to get more rubber under the car eventually because the 245/45/17's aren't cutting it.
