Well young man..... You sure voice a lot of Opinions based on Assumption, and Supposition! You haven't a Clue of What I've done, or Where I've been! Yes I've done body work! and Yes I painted my first car 40 years ago! If I was to guess, I'd have to bet blind on the fact that I may have painted...

1970 Grande won't start; looking for thoughts

Well Jordan, that's a tough one! First off , what engine, and trans combination are you running? Lower Control Arm/bushings Concern?

Glad to hear you got your "Quick Fix" done. I'm with Rbohm on the spherical bearings, and it doesn't hurt to have a reinforced LCA as well. Here's a pic that shows the Spherical bearing, which also acts as a bushing.....

1970 Grande won't start; looking for thoughts

Jordan; Just because the tire is flat, doesn't necessarily mean you need a new one! Take it to a Tire shop, and ask them to determine what caused it to go flat! Heck.... You may need all four replaced, or none at all! Oh... and add to your list a new Battery. lol Good Luck. and Keep us Posted!

    Crooked Stripes

Definitely a Biased Opinion, and spoken like a true Painter! Maybe I was misunderstood , But I said , "first, give the original Painter the chance to make it right!" I just stipulated that it should be done the way the Original job was AGREED upon, and that if the deal was to change, it should...

    Crooked Stripes

Duly Noted.... However, you can call me "Old Fashioned", but if I enter into an agreement, where the person providing the service fails to perform his obligations to me.... and then allowing him a chance to correct his mistakes, which have become an inconvenience to me........ Then I believe the...

Rim Blow Buddy / Bad Restoration / See Pictures

Hmmm..... Looks like they restored it to look like Old Damaged Wood! Pretty good job I'd say...... Seriously though, I would give them one chance to make good, and then I would Flood every Car Forum I could find with the pictures of their Sub-Standard work!

Playing the Devil's Advocate.... I would imagine this shop originally told you how they would paint your car, and told you Their price! Now they're trying to change the deal, because They Screwed up! Why should you receive the job done any different then what was originally agreed upon? I would...

68 Mustang Fastback Shelby Decklid Problem

You've acquired the wrong style kit for your application. As mentioned above, the quarter extensions you have purchased are meant to be used with the Shelby overlay, rear light panel. They make different extensions for use with the factory Mustang rear light panel. See the link below...

    289 Head Id

Good point about the Crane heads! Thanks for the other info. as well... It tickles me, that so many hobbiest's are putting emphasis on a difference between "N.O.S.", and "Service" parts. I've always thought that if it didn't roll off the production floor, assembled to a car, that it was in fact...

    Picking Out Leaf Springs?

I have 5 leaf on my '70 because I had them laying around..... They're way too stiff for most street applications, and I'd suggest you go with the 4 , or the 4-1/2 leaf. Keep in mind the Spring rate you're getting is one of the important factors. For example, A 1970 Boss 9, or Boss 302 only had a...

    289 Head Id

Sorry Woodsnake; I made a correction to my response above. Throughout the years there have been many myths about the factory HIPO parts, and the devout HIPO experts, have sought most of their answers from Mannels book, and have adopted it as their book of reference. I believe that this is where...

    289 Head Id

Actually, "their" statement about the C8ZE-B head, not having the two-digit number is incorrect. The main difference between the later service heads, and the pre '67 models are the letters HP cast in the top, and the later style intake flange....

Pondering 351 Heads For My 289

About the Hipo? heads...... Check-em out! Have him send you some pics, or ask him if there's two dots above the numbers 289....I doubt they're real, but if they are, you could probably make enough off the sale to buy a nice set of heads..... Just my .02 sense....

    1970 Mustang

Jaryd; There's a guy in the Portland area that parts out a lot of '70 coupes, and frequently sells on ebay, and CL. I'm sure he could accommodate you, but shipping would probably be cheaper from Las Vegas.... IMO, you've got good taste, and '70 coupes are a great looking car. Good luck with...

    Info On Global West

Bill; In my '68, I'm running the GW UCA's, with their Tubular LCA's, and have Roller Spring Perch's, with .620, 570# coils, and Koni's. The UCA's are mounted with the 1.375" (Arning?) drop, that is recommended by GW for their design. IMHO... This Suspension is far superior over stock, and well...

Thinking Of Buying This Car, Advice Please! Pics!

So..... How much is Your car worth? Playing the Devil's advocate, The 67 is not worth his asking price to me, but that's just my opinion! I wouldn't offer more then 3500 for what I've seen, unless I knew much more about the structural condition of the car. The trunk has the appearance of...
