    Is Magnapack system CARB legal?

These are a couple quotes from the "blue book" - which is the California Emissions handbook. www.arb.ca.gov Don't know if this helps - I think they right these damn things so they can interpret them as they see fit later. :notnice: § 27151. Modification of exhaust systems (a) No person...

    BM in Mill Creek Tonight?

Anyone heading up to the BM in Mill Creek tonight? If so, what time? I've got a chance to get out and everything is in working order - looking for something to do. Jay

Do Heads and Cams do anything for our cars?

Yep - if you go with the high lift cams (Stage II) you definitely want to replace the springs. Comp makes a good spring - a set will run you just under $200.. You'll also need valve cover, intake and timing cover gaskets (around $60-80). Good luck - I can relate to your sentiments. Jay

    Rear differential covers.

Don't mind at all. I believe I ordered it from here on Partshopper - it was about a year and a half ago - $129 and they I think they had a free shipping deal going on. Jay

Do Heads and Cams do anything for our cars?

You're probably going to have a tough time passing a sniffer or tailpipe test with any aftermarket cam. If your state does the OBDII test and the cam doesn't trip the SES light you might get away with it. No cam manufacturer can guarantee their cam to pass emission testing. Jay

    Rear differential covers.

I bought the Mac cover and didn't notice any quality issues. I like having the ability to drain and refill without removing the cover. Jay

Do Heads and Cams do anything for our cars?

I think that could be a fair estimate in the power department. The have them on ModularDepot.com for $569/pair. MD - Camshafts The VT Engines guys also frequent StangNet and ModularDepot - they are good people and helpful if you need them. Jay

Do Heads and Cams do anything for our cars?

Attainable, but typically expensive. I ran about 270/285 with a fat tune, quite a few bolt-ons and heads/cams (VT cams). I've since had the tune cleaned up, bumped the timing a couple degrees with no problem, but have not had the car back on the dyno. It's achievable, yes, but you've almost...

Bassani Catted X and Eibach Pro's

I have that set-up and it hangs pretty low. Most speedbumps are no problem, but I have scraped the cats a couple times :nonono: . All in all, not too bad, really. Jay

    Painting gauge pod?

Here's what I did - cleaned both a-pillars and the pod thoroughly and let them dry. Then I painted the both pillars completely with a dark charcoal paint for vinyl and interiors that I got at the auto parts store. The color matched the interior very well and since I painted the pillars and the...

    Diagnostic Codes...

If DTC9FF came up first that is a version number or computer code, not a trouble code. 5284 is oil pressure sender - if the key was on, but the car was not running you will get this code. Start the car while you perform the same test and you should not get the 5284. No clue on the third one -...

    Which Subframe connector?????

If the subframes in the Cobra verts are the same as those in a GT vert than the answer is definitely yes, it would be worth it! The stock sfc's just don't do a damn thing - they bolt in and really have no substance to them. Just my opinion, but I noticed a huge improvement over the factory...

    Which Subframe connector?????

Granted, welding takes some skill, but we did a good job in two hours. Figure that's about $125/hour for a "professional welder". If the money is spent and you're satisfied with the work then it's probably worth it. I don't think you got robbed, but it might have been a little bit much. Also...

    Which Subframe connector?????

I felt a huge difference after having my Maximum Motorsports sfc's welded in - it's especially noticeable on any uneven surface. As far as install, I did them with a buddy and a rented tig welder. We put them on the full lift at a shop and used the frame lift to hold them in place. Took about 2...

    Checked fuel pressure, seems low??

If that's your pressure across the rails that seems pretty normal. If there's no serious drop under WOT then you're at least getting fuel to the rails and holding pressure, so I wouldn't necessarily look at the fuel pump as the culprit. If the filter was gummed up that could also cause...

    Exhaust Opinions.......

Well, there's more in it but it picked up 30 rwhp (from about 10 @ 3500 RPM - 30 @ 5800 - there's a lot more area under the curve overall. Also, it had a "fat" tune in it, so there's more buried in there (working on that). We're leaning it out to around 13:1, and adding 2 more degrees of total...

    Exhaust Opinions.......

I love them - now if I'd ever get my damn chip back... lol - the original tune was pretty fat (in the 11.9:1 range) so we're going to take out a little fuel and add a bit of timing. I didn't do the install because I had the heads and cams swapped at the same time - it was just about $1,000 for...
