    kickdown troubles

    ok.. I had accidentally disconnected my kick down the other day.. And I noticed when I floored it my motor would run to 4900 before shifting.. but with it connected it shifted around 4500.. is this normally or is my kickdown getting in the way of the throttle linkage?

    I thought on mechanical pumps you run it after the pump. to avoid cavitation? Ok.. made my torque strap today.. grade 8 bolt for the head $0.42.. turnbuckle $2.08.. C clip $2.50..Grade 8 eye bolt..$0.72.. 3/8 hex nut..$0.06 for a grand total of $5.78

    ok heres what i did.. summit and jegs sell scoop plugs.. I use that when it rains or if I go away on long trips because my aircleaner sits inside the scoop. the scoop is fully functional..
