    Spring Isolators

I didnt even run isolators for 5+ years. First on Steeda race springs, then Eibach Pro Kit springs. I didnt notice any harshness vs with or without them. I put a little electrical tape on the ends to keep it from rubbing on the body, but thats it.

    What Clutch?

I would say the Centerforce DFX. The other stuff looks good, but swap the clutch quadrant for a UPR triple version with the firewall adjuster. It is only about $15 more for the kit and will provide all the adjustment you will ever need. Also, the UPR version has has rounded edges where the...

QA1 K Member and Control arm fitment?

Also, when you lower the car, you need the caster/camber plates. The suspension pivot point (where the control arms meet the k member) is below the centerline of the wheel. This causes more camber when the car is lowered because the suspension travels in an arc, not straight up and down. I...

    Rear end noise

Hang on. You removed them, not replaced them? The spring is necessary. That is what disengages the brakes when you release the handle. If you push the button, with a working spring, the handle should want to pull down on its own. If you dont have the springs, when you push the button, you...

With a computer scanner, you are able to see what your fuel pump duty cycle looks like. When it hits 100%, the pump cant send any more fuel. For the extra money, the BAP is insurance. Even if the 255 makes it, it is going to be close to capped out.

    Tire and wheel help

Here is your problem. With 20" rears, you are going to have to get much bigger tires. I look through a few DRs for the right size, and the closest thing I found was a set of 305/35-20s. They are over 28" tall. That is not even mentioning the fact that the 20x10" wheel is going to weigh about...

    4.6 SOHC Rebuild

Think outside the box! 400-450 N/A hp IS possible, and it is actually really easy. It is called a Coyote swap, LTs, and a good tune. It would be cheaper than trying to build a N/A 2v to get near 350 rwhp. LoL, I read it real quick and I thought it said 284 rwhp....it would have fit with the...

What year car do you have....basically, is there a chance you have a windsor bocked car? If you do, plan on a lot more grinding than just the part above the water pump. With my Boss block (based off a Windsor) I had several pedistals in the valley that I had to grind down. It wasnt bad, just...

    4.6 cobra engine knock

Now you are making sense. Sure, the engine will always burn some oil.....but since the new standards, the sulfated ash content has been reduced in normal car oil by the API for emissions. Unless you are running oil from 5 years ago, or a C spec oil, there shouldnt be enough ash in it to cause...

    4.6 cobra engine knock

Op.. sorry for interrupting the real discussion here. I know how it works, but I was just confused by the use of the ash point. I know what the sulfate ash percent is in relation to oil, but not the ash point. I am guessing it is generally related as in the point where the oil begins to...

    4.6 cobra engine knock

Ok, now you have me scratching my head. I know what the W stands for, I also know how it works, but how is 5w and 10w the same in ANY oil. The W stands for Winter and represents the way the oil acts at a specified cold temperature. Standard oil uses polymers in the oil to control the multiple...

Yeah, I went back and looked and there is no mention of the IAT (ACT) sensor install. It just says to plug the rear one and install the front one....but you have to pull it off the wires from the MAF. I know back a year ago, they had instructions, but I dont see them on their site anymore. I...

Honestly, that is up to you. The stock one will easily support the 400rwhp you are looking for....and you can get a stock Cobra one pretty cheap. I went with a BilletFlow one, but I needed something to support a little more....somewhere in the 650+rwhp range.

You should have let me know about needing mounts for the HE, I made a set in about an hour. I'm at work, but when I get home I'll post up some pictures of the one I made. I went and got stuff from Home Depot. I think I got a couple pack of 90 degree metal mounts and 2 steel 1" x 1/4" steel...

That is actually the great part about it...you can do what you want. Bob bought a few new parts and a few used ones. He even used a power steering reservoir for the coolant tank. I bought all new parts for mine, and there is a big difference in price between ours. That is the beauty of this...

    Cobra factory troubles.

There was another company that made a knock off of the Steeda one....but I don't remember who. It was the exact same thing except without the Steeda logo on it.

    Tuner question

My wife got me a G Tech Pro SS a few years ago, and it was fun to play with, but it was way off too. I had it first, and it had some cool toys, and sure, I did the 1/4 and 0-60 every chance I got. With 250 rwhp, it would tell me I had over 400. My 1/4 mile times were 10-11 seconds.....I wish. It...
