Got some new wheels and tires, what do you think

I went with 255/35/20's all around. I got the wheels, tires, lug nuts, mounted & balanced with shipping for under $1800 from Tire Rack, not too bad if you ask me.

Hey All, I finally got around to getting some wheels and tires, here are some pics: What do you think? I know the car is dirty but I haven't had time to give her a good wash yet.

I have 20" Shelby Razor's with my Eibach Pro Kit and CDC Chin Spoiler and no issues... you will be fine.

I've got $6000, which setup should I go with?

That is not true. You don't have to look much past Ford to see that OEMs have come with other types of blowers. Hell the Ford GT (GT40) comes with a twin screw... why because they are more efficient. And if you look at the old Shelby's they came with Paxton blowers. The reason OEMs tend to use...

I've got $6000, which setup should I go with?

The Roush supercharger is just a regular Eaton (roots type) blower renamed as a Roush. I won't get into the differences between twin screw (KB, Saleen), centrifugal (Paxton, Vortech, ATI), and roots (Roush, Magnacharger); but I will say this: The roots type blowers are the least efficient...

Do you guys know how much the 2.6L KB with intercooler would cost me installed?

I've got $6000, which setup should I go with?

Okay, let me through a wrench in the works here: What about the Saleen blower? Is it as good or better then the KB? What about price? Where does it fall between the KB and Paxton?

I've got $6000, which setup should I go with?

Why don't you like Paxton? Paxton and Vortech are pretty much the same (they are both owned by Vortech). Both have great quality but the Paxton is a bigger blower so it can make more power and comes with an air-to-air intercooler which I like better. The ATI has too many issues (I know this from...

I've got $6000, which setup should I go with?

Yeah, the KB does make great power... but for the same price I can get the Paxton and 2 18X9 and 2 18X10 wheels plus tires to match. This is a tough call.

I've got $6000, which setup should I go with?

Well, I finally saved up enough cash to start modding the 06 (after my 01, I won't buy anything on credit for my car again!!!). I saved a little more then 6 G's and I want to supercharge my Mustang. To start, I should say that the car is all stock except a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs, a CDC...

    rim question

Yeah me too. The Konig Beyonds look good and if you can get a deal, then get them. 18's may be better in terms of performance, but if you want to get the performance lost back, through in some 4.10's in the back. :D

    Average MPG

I get between 16 to 18 mpg on my stock 06 auto. But I drive in LA on mostly surface streets, in fact my entire daily commute is surface streets, the only time I would hit the highway is on weekends. But in LA, even the surface streets have tons of traffic and I too drive it like I stole it. Hell...

    Top speed

Good answer! The reality is unless you car is already able to hit redline in top gear, you can go faster with more power. The extra power will help you fight the wind resistance and achieve a higher top speed. To hit 200 MPH you are going to need more then just a blower though. You will need a...

    RPM Outlet Power Packs

I second that! You can't go wrong with Steeda. Great products, excellent customer service, and fast as hell! As an example, I ordered a part from them on line just this past Sunday. On Monday, I got notified that the part was shipped out and from the tracking number, I should have it by Friday...

Take off parts. Anybody done it??

I bought a front bumper cover from http://www.newtakeoff.com/ for my 06 Tungsten gray GT after a biker kit my front bumper cover and put a nice hole in it. The paint matched perfectly and the bumper was shipped very nicely. No complaints here, the price was good and the product was great. :nice:

    Question on lowering

I lowered my 06 with the Eibach Pro-Kit springs. I also bought the Eibach alignment kit for like $40. With the alignment kit, my car was aligned to factory specs without any problems. I would highly recommend getting the Eibach alignment kit when you lower your car.

    Automatic Transmission noise?

If you are talking about a whining noise, that only happens in second gear, then it is normal. If you hear it in all gears, then something is wrong. Next time you make a hard run, listen to see if it only whines in second gear. If it does only whine in second then it is fine and you have nothing...

What are the differences between the 5.4L and 4.6L short-blocks?

Thanks for the help guys! Yeah I was hoping the 5.4 had a bigger bore because the sleeve process is a bit expensive; but I guess that is the only way to get what I want. Thanks again.

What are the differences between the 5.4L and 4.6L short-blocks?

I want to know what the differences are in the two short-blocks (4.6L Vs. 5.4L)? What are the bore sizes and strokes of both? Also, are any internal parts interchangeable; ie crankshaft, rods, or pistons? Will the heads (3 valve)off of a 4.6L fit the 5.4L short-block? I know I can probably...
