    Torque Management?

    I sometimes see comments about a custom tune getting rid of the new Mustang's "torque management" limitations. With the factory tune, does the computer control the engine to limit low RPM torque, or something? Even with traction control off? Is this in autos only, or also manuals...

    I have State Farm, too. My insurance went up $17 a month from my 2003 F-150 4.6L, same coverage. I consider that reasonable. I'm 32 with a clean driving record.

    My car is white and road gunk really shows up behind the rear tires. I got some "clearcoat safe" bug and tar remover and it works great. Softens the gunk up so you can wipe it off with a soft cloth and water. The stuff I use stresses to NOT let the product dry on the paint.

    I'd take it to the dealership, tell them I accidentally locked myself in the trunk, and it snapped when I pulled it! Warranty 4TW! That release tab glows in the dark, by the way. Seriously. :rolleyes:

    I've heard nothing but good things about the C&L. If I do decide to get a tune, that's probably the setup I'll go with. With the auto, have you thought about 4.10 gears? I bet that, along with throttle response tuning, would give you some damned fun downshifts!

    I have double side-stripes myself, came from dealership that way. Not the "Mustang" decal stripes, just two stripes on lower sides of car, same color as Bullitt rims. About 2.5" thick each, one on top of the other. The car is Performance White and they help break up all that white a bit...
