    I.R.S. in '67 Complete!

Looks good! Very clean! That doesn't look to hard to do? Did you gather pieces and fabricate the rest or did you modify an existing kit?

Ok, so the rack&pinions suck... What are we gonna do about it?

I spoke with Flaming River about making a power box. They said they would look into it if there was enough interest...one year later they anounce they plan to make a rack and pinion...six months later they show it at SEMA. From all the heh..positive reviews of their rack. I think they made the...

baking soda media for sand blasting - where to get it?

Do not use sand! A) it holds moisture so any sand that gets between seams will atract moisture and rust formation. B) the silica imbeds it's self in your lungs and causes cancer.

Now I see where the confusion is comming from. In your suspension model it does show a positive camber gain on the outside tire. This is correct because the upper A-arm pick up point is moveing outward relative to center. In this case the movement of the upper A-arm is less then the amount...

If you look at the above numbers that I already "fired up" it shows 1" roll with the outside wheel experiencing -1.03 degrees camber. That is with 0 static camber. I feel your using the stock Mustang suspention as your template for comparison. If that is the case, the outside wheel does...

Those figures were without any dive. If the weight of the car goes to the outside of the turn more weight is over the outside wheel and less is over the inside wheel. If you add weight to a spring it compresses. The outside wheel is compressed during body roll. Look at the jounce/dive figures...

Yes, that is what I'm saying. When the body rolls it rolls to the outside due to inertia. Therefore the outside tire is compressed more then the inside tire. The more dive on the tire the more negative camber.

What is the ideal rollcenter with a live axle in a 65 Mustang? Without a panhard bar is it not the center of the axle on a leafsprung car? Where do you want the front rollcenter relative to the rear rollcenter? If lower by how much to make the car well balanced? It almost seems to me...

Would you like measurements with body roll as well? How much roll and how much jounce do you want introduced to the measurements?
  18. Sundance

    Mustang II conversion

Yes, of course it is progressive. At one inch jounce the camber gain is -.16 At two inches jounce the camber gain is -.62 At three inches jounce the camber gain is -1.40 At four inches jounce the camber gain is -2.53 Something to consider; The MII lower arms are the same length as my...

I'll provide the suspention specs you request if needed. So far you want camber per inch travel? What other measurements would you like? The verticle load issue Cloneranger hit it on the nose. The shear strength of the inner fender panels resist most of the verticle load. The export brace...
