    351w swap pics?????

Try this II owner for a pair of Mustang II V8 exhaust manifolds. [email protected]. He's located in Pawling, NY. We traded some II parts some time ago and every part I needed was in very good condition. If he's out of the exhaust manifolds you can try ebay.

    ? about motor mounts?

No, the 2.3 and 2.8 motor mounts will not work for the 302 in any MII. The V8 frame mounts can be found on ebay and once in awhile some NOS motor mounts also show up on ebay. You can check with a Ford dealer in your area to see if they have any mounts in their old stock. LedZ 5.0

Here's what the virtual body shop did for us

The rear wing on my car looks like it belongs there and fits well. It's a JC Whitney special and sells for $129. I can't download pictures on this site because my files are too big and I don't know what I'm doing either. If you want to see how the wing looks on my II I can send some pictures to...

Anyone seen these brake mods for II's?

I want to use the 11" Granada rotors on a 77 I'm working on but didn't want to use GM calipers either. Not that GM presents a problem, just that I prefer to keep the car all Ford equipped. I'll check with a salvage yard to see if they would be able to match up a late model Ford caliper and...

Here's what the virtual body shop did for us

Mamma-Mia Looks great! I think the rear wing and hood scoop set the car off. :nice: The wing is almost like the one on my coupe but mine turns down more on the ends.

    pulling my 302...

You can also pick up a few engine hook brackets at a salvage yard from some of the imports or Escorts. Just bolt them where you want and hook your chains or hooks up to them. It makes the work a lot easier. LedZ 5.0

Removal of chrome around windows help?

You can buy a trim removal tool for the front and rear glass trim. Any local parts store should have the proper tool for a few $. It's angled with an arrow head to get right up under the trim piece and move the clip outward so you can lift up carefully on the trim pieces. To remove the roofrail...

    Pics of fuel system?

My pump and filter are mounted on a plate behind the rear bumper on the pass. side of the vehicle. I tried to send a picture but the file was too large to upload. I'll see if I can figure how to send the attachment to give you an idea of how this is done to my car. I also have an inertia switch...

    NEXT QUESTION....

I don't have the rubber plug under the master cyl. on any of my II's. What gives? Must be for certain years or style. I never checked for that at any yards. Guess I'll start looking for that plug so I can put one on the coupe. LedZ 5.0

Another story of the cobbled together mustang II

Been there too. I picked up a KC about two years ago and thought I did well price wise. Once I really started looking the car over and saw how everything was put together I stripped and parted it. Most good parts were damaged beyond repair. The motor mounts were shimmed with large aluminum...

    NEXT QUESTION....

Just checked the Mach and the coupe. There's no ground wire connected to the screw on the right side of the ground strap screw. Just the screws. :nonono: Possibly may be used to ground your dash components if there's a wire running from the cabin of your cobra. LedZ 5.0

I hate tires (burn out vids)

AOL is getting canned by June 10th. Thought about broadband but I don't do enough on line to really need it at this time. I use my pc mainly for checking on what's happening in the auto parts/core world. Also for Stangnet, Thirdgen, and Ebay. LedZ 5.0

I hate tires (burn out vids)

YO! That worked. Awesome! :hail2: And a coupe to boot. Your vidio gives me some incentive to get my new rear installed within the next week. Wonder how long this one will hold up. I know my motor is good for a little over 7,000 R's but I think I'll see if I can run it up to 8 grand. LerdZ 5.0

I hate tires (burn out vids)

DAMN! Everytime I try to watch your burnout video My computer goes bonkers. I get an error and lose my aol connection. I want to see that mean ride cranking over 8,000 R's. Any other way I can get to check out the videos? LedZ 5.0

    CobraIILover Has Celebrity Status

CobraIILover, Yeah, the issue just came out this month. It says old school still rules on the cover. A very informative magazine for the price. I picked this one up at Auto Zone while I was there getting some parts. I thought that was pretty cool that you still won after having problems with...

    CobraIILover Has Celebrity Status

I recently picked up the May issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. There's a small write up on page 226 about Power Surge Performance. He had a problem with his Lightening so he borrowed an F250 and still took home the win. Way to go Sal. :hail2: LedZ 5.0

    Clutch cable destruction

1badII, Looks like you lost the ball end of the clutch cable, the tension spring and the locknut. The cable ball end is mounted in the release lever assembly over a small plastic piece and held in place with the spring tension. There's no retaining clip that I know of. The clutch cable adjuster...

Here's the pics of my II

Looks like you scored a V8 car so you're off to a good start with your project. They can be made to look and run as nice as the fastback style II. There's quite a few coupe and Ghia owners on this site and at mii.net. Good luck with your restoration. LedZ :flag:
