    Using STP Fuel Injection Cleaner

I agree ... I use that stuff at no more than half a tank. The more concentrated it is, the better in my opinion. I use the Lucas treatments, both in the fuel every 5-10 tanks or so and the oil stabilizer every second oil change. They make good stuff!!

how much is my stock TB,MAF,Fuel pump, FPR holding me back?

Yea. ... FMS TB, no doubt! Go with a Pro-M 80mm MAF. The adjustable FPR wont add a whole lot of performance, unless your stocker is bad. If you're gonna swap it out - go with a Kirban! Did you port the intake or the heads at all before you threw it all together?? That would have added a...

Seth5.0 and I are at wits end!!

I had the same thing happening to mine when I went to the larger FMS 65mm TB. I swapped out the IAC with the one that came on my car stock, and I have not had a problem since then. Have you removed the IAC and cleaned it out?? Mine was really dirty. Try that, but make sure the gasket is...

do you guys know the stock IAC screw setting?

I think he's talking about the allen head screw on the IAC itself. It's the one covered by that rubber plug. Ya know ... I just messed with mine today, and was wondering where baseline was, and how important it is to stay near that. What does it really do?? I know it varies the amount of air...

Fitting up my elbow, damn ever check the mismatch in there?

I had to do the same thing on my Explorer intake too! But ... I used the Trick Flow SN95 adapter and it's opened up to 75mm!! I took A LOT off the upper when I did mine!! I made mine all flow together and ended up porting the hell outta my upper and lower. It seems whenever you open...

Rio, 95GTeee, and anyone else who's can help, please do!!!

I never even used the fuel line disconnects ... I used bungee cords and just held them outta the way along with other hoses. Also ... if you are gonna do (or have been thinking about doing) the smog/air pump delete, this would be a great time to clean all that up and get it out of the way...

    Smog Pump removal

What bolt ... the one at the back of the head? Those are tough! Or the bolts holding the smog pump on the bracket. I seem to remember having to remove the pulley before you get to one of the bolts.

Rio, 95GTeee, and anyone else who's can help, please do!!!

Honestly ... i was thinking the same thing about the price, it is cheap! It's nice to do it yourself, but if you're in a hurry and just want the job done - $150 aint bad! You will learn a lot about your motor though if ya do it yourself. 94SC50 brought up a GREAT tip - I used 4 studs I...

    Smog Pump removal

I just completed mine and removed the lines going to the back of the heads (and plugged them with a 9/16" short bolt), the tube going to the H-pipe and plugged the vac lines and capped the back of the air pump. I gutted my air pump, so the pulley spins freely (read FREE mod!). It really cleans...

Rio, 95GTeee, and anyone else who's can help, please do!!!

I agree ... that thread was VERY handy when I did mine too! If you happen to damage any of the injector caps or O-rings while disassembling the injectors ... dont worry!! Go to a NAPA store and get part #2-12085 ... its a repair kit for the injector caps and some o-rings!!! Return it if ya...

need part number for injecter O-rings

The NAPA part number is: 2-12085 It includes the plastic tip, the spacer, and the two o-rings. Maybe the O-rings are available seperately - I dont know about NAPA, but like i said, they are available from Ford.

Will a 3/8" spacer with a GT-40 intake clear our hoods?

Just for reference ... from the bottom of the Upper, to the top of the Upper is: 5 1/2" -- not including the bolt. Aluminum foil ... good idea!

need part number for injecter O-rings

Ford has em pretty cheap for a bag of 16. NAPA does have the O-rings in a rebuild kit for the injectors. I JUST bought them ... from BOTH places! I can get the NAPA part number if ya need it. RIO50 told me about them!!

Cobra intake system on a GT?? Possible or Impossible?

Just remember to get a new MAF set to work with the 24# injectors. Keep the FP set at the stock settings and you should be all good! It should be more spunky with the Cobra intake. Do some searching on the site to see what luck others have had with the set-up. I REALLY hope this one works...

Ummmmmmmm ...... Yeeee Hawwwwwwwwwwwww! My car's not gonna balance on those tires!

Will a 3/8" spacer with a GT-40 intake clear our hoods?

I am not TOTALLY sure on the GT-40 intake, but I have the Explorer intake and the front bolt actually bored a perfect hole in the hood insulation. I think the two are very similar as far as dimentions go. It DOES use the GT-40 lower. It has scratched the bottom of the hood, but just barely...

    A/C and heater knob relocation

I think it was 94SC50 who did it in his car. Looks pretty trick!

    RTV on intake: Let dry?

You will see tons of debates about using the end cork or rubber, or just making a healthy bead of RTV. Do a search on that. I used a thick bead on the ends, and a big blob in the corners at the front and rear - like I said, with NO problems.
