I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

Actually, the product can't be duplicated in 3 or 4 days that the dealer had the car. At this point though, it's irrelevant. We aren't talking about a noise in the rear end, we are talking about a failure that could be catastophic and cause injury or death, especially at freeway speeds with...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

Because it might affect future purchases of Fords by people who haven't made a decision yet. If they aren't going to take care of Taurus owners, why should we buy future Mustangs? When a manufacturer blows off one a customer, especially one as loyal as I and my family have been, we all need to...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

Here is the email I got from my in-laws last night. I appreciate your help Cory and your interest in helping but apparently your company doesn't feel the same way. What really ticks me off is that my wife's uncle worked his whole life for Ford and retired from there. To destroy that kind of...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

As I suspected and even with Cory's help, Ford is blowing off my in-laws. They got the same runaround with them that they got with the dealership. Apparently it's cheaper for Ford to have my retired in-laws get into an accident on the freeway and possibly get killed than it is for them to fix...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

I hear you but sometimes the system needs a kick in the teeth to get it's attention. Sometimes it just takes a little Italian attitude. All joking aside, the system is made up of people. They know what their job is and if they have any pride in it, they would take care of every customer...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

Thank you for the information. I'll work with them this week to get the history. I know that Ford was involved at some point but as of right now, it's not being follows up on. The thing is, the customer shouldn't have to be so proactive. especially at their age. Ford knows there is a...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

The problem is that each occurrence has happened with several months between them and the dealer who took the car for a few days, put a whopping 170 miles on it over 3 days, which was all Ford would spring for a rental car, and surprise, couldn't duplicate the problem. This problem is all over...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

No. My in-laws are filing with the NHSTA since apparently it's cheaper for Ford to ignore this issue than actually fix it. We've decided to let the Government handle it unless there's an accident, in which case, the lawyers will be handling it. In the meantime, my father-in-law is looking at a...

I'm a little concerned about future Mustangs

I've been a Ford guy for a lot of years, E-150 work vans, Mustangs, Cougars, etc... for 25 years but that may be changing soon. My wife's parents buy a top of the line Taurus and what a lemon. The problem is that it isn't a defective windshield wiper, this is a dangerous problem of stalling...

Forced Induction Buying A Vortech Kit Have Questions

Got behind on this thread but I will tell you that at 375rwhp, the Walbro 255 was falling behind. I put in bigger lines and even sent my entire canister with pump back to Walbro for flow analysis. It simply fell behind in pressure and this was the pump that came with the original kit back in...

Forced Induction Buying A Vortech Kit Have Questions

I would stick with the V2 unless you are planning on putting new heads and intercooler on the car. The stage 2 cams are fine. I had to put dual Walbro 255's on my car to get enough fuel to handle more then 400hp.

    2000 Mustang 4.6 Problems, (supercharged)

Here is an odd answer. Check the alternator. Although it doesn't explain the temperature, apparently some diode in the alternator burns out and even though it works, the car still misses. Just learned that one today.

Supercharged Gt Running Lean & Hesitating, help!

I had a huge amount of problems with the stock pumps. Try a better pump like a focus pump first.

    Tire and Suspension issues

The CC plates are Steedas and they don't work with coilovers. I went through 2 sets of them and even reinforced them after I went to coilovers. They all bent. You need 4-bolt CC plates like Maximum Motorsports like Rusty67 says.. That being said, the shock tower was never built for coilovers...

    HELP! 02' GT wanting 500HP

There are many ways to get there but it's a package deal. As others are telling you, it's far more than the just rebuilding the engine. Fuel, chassis, brakes, suspension, all have to be addressed. Mine runs 500HP on 91 octane fuel and could probably hit 700+ at the rear with good fuel.

    2000 GT Motor Build

I worked directly with Aeromotive trying to get this straightened out and was unsuccessful. I even worked with Walbro when I first put the charger on with a low pressure problem. They hand built me a tank assembly and that didn't work either with a single pump when I was at 350rwhp. That...

    New motor, need advice.

Ported heads/cam are the only way to go. I used Livernois on mine and I have to retard my timing to 9 degrees for pump gas. I still get 500rwhp and 28mpg on the highway. When I use better gas, I can get 650+ (probably closer to 700 now) and go berserk.

Spark plugs, self change or Ford change?

I've had 3 of them blow out and have had to helicoil them also. If you have the dealer do them and they blow out, they will just helicoil it anyway. I suggest you do it and follow the torque recommendations.

2 Broken Serpentine Belts in a Month ('04 Vortech)

I had the same problem and found out it was becuase of alignment. The mechanic who worked on the car also put in a washer behind the tensioner belt but we found that it misaligned it. Removed the washer, no more problem.
