    New Issue of MM&FF

Most anything that is "out of the box" in the mustang world is heavily slammed. We tend to act like purists, but if that was true we would all be rolling around in bone stockers with 10-holes or pony rims. To each his own. If he likes it, he likes it. At least he made it in there. I can't...

Bought car at dealship, now they want to sue me???

Obviously, the OP didn't perform his due diligence as a buyer of a used item before shelling out his hard earned money. Non-functioning windows, low fluids? That is an easy thing to find and a huge "DON'T BUY ME" signal while shopping. The best thing he can do is be grateful the dealer was...

I asked my wife for a Christmas noodle once, she promptly kicked me in the meat and 2 veges and stormed out of the house. What exactly is a Christmas noodle?

So my Capri caught fire today....

I have had a valve cover leak and oil gather in the header flange area and ingnite. It was a special feeling when I saw fire and smoke under the hood. To be honest, I thought to myself I have full coverage, what do I do? I was really hating my car at that moment.

    Im confused

wires getting hot indicates resistance in the form of to small of a wire carrying power or poor connection at either end of said wire. A possible reason it stops working right is as it heats, the ability of the wires to carry current is decreased, it is a vicious cycle.

Putting gauges just below radio - anyone else done this?

American muscle sells the plate kit to move the radio to the top, AC controls to the bottom and 3 gauge holes in the middle. The plastic is cheap, but I made up a metal backer plate for mine.

What's a good store bought throw out bearing? Does one exist?

I just order the BSA throwout bearing from advance. You have to wait a day or two, but it is a quality piece.

valvetrain loose? what could it be...

BK sometimes oil gets in the rocker bolt holes and your bolt will bottom out on the oil as it is not compressible, and the rocker will be loose. Check for that before you go buying new lifters and stuff. It has happened to me twice.

    Are these double valve springs?

maybe, just maybe the yellow paint is a mark to check for coil bind when they are tesing the springs. You can't tell very many aspects about a spring by looking at it, except for double/single/beehive, etc.

STORE BRAND OIL/FILTER MYTHS...STILL GOOD OIL?

The thing is, fellas, there are times when you are paying for a name. I am a petroleum engineer by profession, and the chain store oils are made by major manufacturers. EG, Advance used to get havoline to bottle their oil, O'reilly got Superflo (exxon) as did Wally world. As long as the oil...

    Engine Temp ??

You could let the engine idle with the rad cap off and see if the coolant starts flowing to indicate t-stat opening. Could it be that you started using the heater and maybe your heater core had some air in it? Any leaks anywhere???

How does my pushrod length look?

http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff280/bcriser/Valvestemmarks.jpg Look at the marks. Marks are supposed to be fairly narrow and centered on the tip of the valve. It is better IMHO to have the marks more narrow than perfectly centered. (given the choice I would have the mark slightly off...

Hot start issue- car floods with bigger injectors

I would take a hard look at your MAF. Your injectors are too big for that combo, but if you have a properly calibrated/functioning MAF for the injectors it should work good enough. Probe pin d of maf with KOEO and see if it reads voltage. It shouldn't as no air is moving past meter. Another...
