    I've actually got the same thing going on with mine. However, I have a t5 and the rattle is at around 1700-1800 rpm. I'll check the cat heat shield though. But why would it only rattle at a certain rpm?

    5.0 clutches are bigger than the 2.3's I think. Many companies still make good clutch kits for 2.3's though. I know centerforce makes one although I haven't heard too much talk about it on this board for some reason.

    Thanks for the info Joe. I've got the old completely stock head that I took swapped off when I swapped this new one on, so perhaps I should just use that. We'll see, it'll be a whlie yet before I swap in a turbo motor, (if I even do) so I have some time to weigh my options.

    If the formula I am using is right, that much milling would add about .7:1 compression. (.007" = .1:1) So therefore I would be at around 8:7:1 compression, which is still lower than an average n/a engine. Anybody figure thats low enough or is that still a little high?

    I dont think its necessary to take any of then off. When I do it I simply drain the old coolant out of the plug at the bottom of the rad and refill.

    Are the shifters on the 5.0 t5 and our 2.3 t5's the same? If I wanted to buy a steeda tri-AX or a Pro 5.0 would I need to order one specific to the 2.3 or just the one advertised as bolting up to the 5.0 foxbody t-5? Thanks for the help.
