It it doesn't suck, it's not an intake

When are we 2005 owners getting a real external intake setup? We don't have one now. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Here's my take: - CDC "Shaker" System: It uses the factory airbox, for one. More tubing=more heat and less density. But the real problems I see with this unit is that...

    No whipple yet?

Yeah. The only pulley mods I've seen on the Saleen were custom made though. Is there a ready-made smaller pulley kit for it?

    No whipple yet?

Ah, OK. I got my info from an MMFF article (or 5.0M&SF, I'll look). Maybe the writer was confused since the terms "Lysholm" and "Twin Screw" have become somewhat interchangable. Too bad the mechanically challenged like myself don't always have the option of, say, bumping the boost on unit such...

    No whipple yet?

Yeah, the KB's rotors are also sourced from Lysholm, so same problem for them. Boo. Any experiences with the Saleen? The numbers I've seen from them don't seem as impressive as the other twin-screws.

    hesitation around 2800/3000 rpms

Yeah. The AC has a "clutch" that can be disengaged when a certain threshold of throttle is detected. There is a slight hesitation at that point.

Mods and the Ford Technology Initiative

Does anyone have any info on how, if at all, the Ford "technology initiative" between them and certain aftermarkets such as Steeda affect warranty issues? Are there any official mods that definitely do not void/affect the factory warranty? For more info...

    Handles like a crippled elephant

Good forum. A variety of informed responses, plus the usual gaggle of stang-can-do-no-wrong knee-jerks. Admittedly I trolled a bit, but unintentionally as I was somewhat scared by my percieved lack of performance. I'm emotional, what can I say...I apply the same passion to my joy in driving this...

    hesitation around 2800/3000 rpms

By any chance did all you guys have the AC on? Try turning off the AC completely and see if you can duplicate the problem. I've heard having the AC compressor active can cause a slight hesitation when the system shifts power off of the AC to the drive.

    Handles like a crippled elephant

It could be problems, but I think it's just perception. My is skewed because of zero experience with RWD, so it's noob syndrome on top of everything else. But still, I want to hedge my bets with some good mods. It seems that in all the stang forums, 95% of the tech discussion centers around more...

    Handles like a crippled elephant

Well, ok not that bad. Here's an excerpt from a review at a site I frequent. The URL for the full review can be found at http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/content/110808092334068140/ "To keep costs low, the Blue Oval’s Bean Counters decreed a continuation of the Mustang’s live rear axle...
