    Death Race

You don't want a Mustang covered in 3/4 inch steel plate. You'd end up with a power to weight ratio similar to a sumo wrestler on a skate board.

    Midwest Mustang Madness Sept. 20th & 21st!

Me too! Iwas really looking forward to meeting some Stangnet members and running a different track. You know of any banks that have slack security? Maybe I could finance it that way! I'll still try to make it but as time goes on it's looking less and less likely that I'll be able to pull it...

    Midwest Mustang Madness Sept. 20th & 21st!

I don't think they are setup for people to run just one day. Maybe we could work out a deal. I'm changing jobs and between the job change, the gas prices, the economy, and the body shop bill from my bumpers fling with the tire wall in June it's starting to look like I may have give up my trip to...

    Tach signal help

No, I need a tach signal. Basically I need something that changes voltage as the engine rpm changes. In the SN95's you need a tach signal driver which I believe you do splice into a pair of coil wires and it converts that into a tach signal. But nobody seems to make one for a S197 so I'm...

    Tach signal help

Hey guys. Can one of you guys who have installed an aftermarket tach tell me where you got the signal input? I REALLY don't want to have to get a sewing needle and a meter and go searching through the :mad:FIFTY THOUSAND:mad: wires coming out of that ECM. Surely there's a tach signal in there...

Getting rid of the big ass

Many people black out the area between the taillights. It makes the car look shorter and wider from the rear. Cheap, easy, and it's not "ricer". Just look at pics of some old Mach 1's!

    Door Handle Replacement

Sounds like a dealer that's just trying to get away with whatever they have on the shelf instead of taking the time to do it right. Is there another dealer you can use? I'd consider a different dealer if there's one that's convenient for you.

    I can't believe I did this :(

Go get it yourself. I'll bet the scratches he's talking about are anticipated shipping damage. I just had a take off front bumper cover installed on mine by a shop that does body kits and it's perfect. If you go get it it'll be in better shape and if he's got more than one you can pick out the...

Going to buy a 2010 Camaro

The tranny/gears will make a difference on the gas mileage. I have a friend with an '04 Corvette ZO6 (405HP) that gets 35MPG going down the highway. In sixth gear he's loping down the road at like 1400 RPM. It's disgusting. That's the same mileage Mom gets out of her Honda Accord. Look guys...

Kissin' the tire wall (with video)

Believe it or not, that's a GoPro Motorsports Hero camera mounted with a two inch square piece of double sticky tape. It's been working out really well.

Kissin' the tire wall (with video)

Damn straight! I'd rather it was bent from being well used than all shiny because it's never been driven the way it was meant to be.

Kissin' the tire wall (with video)

Ouch. Yea, I know. It's just that I always thought if I went off it would be going into a corner too hot or something, not at 20MPH and in a straight line. Those Kumho MX's were crap in the rain when they were new so I should have known better considering how thin the back ones were on tread. I...

Kissin' the tire wall (with video)

UPS is delivering new Kumho's tomorrow. Still, I think I could have saved it if I'd have reacted faster. Live and learn, I guess.

Kissin' the tire wall (with video)

You know, I had a little guy sitting on my shoulder saying the same thing that morning. I skipped the first session because it was raining. When the second session call came the track was dry and it was just cloudy so I suited up and went to the grid. Go figure, it started to rain just as we...

Kissin' the tire wall (with video)

Well, I finally did it. I put the stang into the tire wall at the Shelby meet. I did it on Friday in the rain. My Kumho's were pretty thin on tread and I decided to go out anyway. Bad move! Between the wet track, the nearly bald tires, and my being stupid I guess it was inevitable. The good news...

    DOING 160MPH

Are you guys kidding? Dissin' on the always ultra aerodynamic Mustang? You know I heard that the Mustangs drag coefficient was just a few hundredths above some really efficient shapes. You know, like the top side of a grand piano, or a box car going sideways, oo oo, I just ran some numbers and...

    Midwest Mustang Madness Sept. 20th & 21st!

Oh come on, you mean you didn't buy an oil well with your stimulus package check? LOL Seriously though, I understand! 3600/25MPG= 144Gal+ 30Gal on the track=174Gal x $4.00 is $696!!! Just fly into Omaha or Kansas City, call Hertz, rent a V6, pay that extra "you bring us back a part with a...

    WebElectric Sequential taillights...

No, unless they've changed them since 2005, they sequence on when you hit the brakes. I've had mine on the car since early '05 with zero issues. Great product.

So...what you gettin with your stimulus check?

:D Track time! :D More track time! :D And then even more track time! :D And then some new brake pads.
