    You're right about Pioneer making 6x8s. I'm pretty sure you have the sizing backwards though. How do you fit a 6x8 into a 5x7 mount without modifying it? It's an inch taller and an inch wider.:shrug:

    6x8 is the factory size for the rear in a hatch. Most aftermarket speaker companies make 5x7s with mounts to fit 6x8s. I don't know of any nonfactory 6x8 speaker. Kenwood head-units are ok. I would rather have a Pioneer Premier. Check out WoofersEtc.com. They're not some shady online...

    Well I looked today, and it is there. Why isn't it your standard power wire? It's one of those braided straps. I was thinking I should replace it with 12g wire. Do you think that would be better? 12g should be big enough right?
