I've had a few of these come into my bay:
Get under there and turn your tie rods/tie rod ends. DO NOT loosten the jam nut, just move them back and forth. If they squeek, keep on moving them back and forth until it stops. Problem with this is that the lack of movement doesn't allow the grease...
Make sure the blower pulley is lined up perfectly with the others for one. I would also reccomend upping the width of the belt. I've heard many stories about people throwing belts, even with low boost. There should be alot of tension on the belt, seeing as how it has to turn the blower.
The car is supposed to idle high when you first turn it on, then the rpms slowly come down. As far as it idling properly when unplugged, thats because of the throttle stop. Its adjusted so that the plate is open enough to allow a certain amount of air into the engine, in case the tps or iac...
Mustangtuning is like 15 mins from where i live, so haha to you. J/k, it shouldn't be too bad to do yourself if you get an a/f guage and see what you can do.
At the ford dealership i work at, 60k includes battery test, fuel filter and air filter replacement, flush and fill radiator, change oil, check/set tire pressure, rotate tires and anything else that may need to be replaced or checked.
no, its a 5 spd, but it shouldn't be too much more different. you can get it online at http://www.macperformance.com/store/category.cfm?SID=3&Category_ID=467 or ebay.
Just got the mac catted h-pipe for an 04 GT :nice: Has a VERY nice sound, especially around 2500 RPMs with heavy throttle, sounds like a beast to be recconned with! Highly reccomended!
:stupid: Agreed. I've seen this TSB before, to fix it is a very involved process. If I where you, I would also check your oil level. Low oil will make for a noisy vavletrain.
And what does that have to do with anything? So what if his beginner car is a 120 hp 4 cyl or a 500hp 8 cyl. Like I said, gotta start somewhere, not his fault he has good taste.
You're all acting like you've never been in this guy's situation before, lighten up. Its his first time at the track and of course everyone's first time, being nervous is normal. There are a ton of people looking at you, your trying to do your best to impress and not look like a tool.
My...
Just wanted to update you guys, I put that peice into the pipe then rebolted it up to the manifold and it did fix the problem. Like i said before, I think that peice is used to make up for the difference in pipe diameter, but puttin it in made a HUGE difference in sound.
All that HP and you don't know how ot do a burnout?
To do a burnout in a manual trans car, you have you use you one foot to control the clutch and brake, and the other to control the gas, or gas/brake and the other clutch. I usually use the heel of my left foot to press down on the brake and...
Unfortunetly I can't. The best way I can explain it, is that it is a peice of exhaust pipe with a flared end and was about 2- 2.5 inches long. It looked like it was supposed to slide into the mac piping before it got bolted up to the factory manifold.
Just got the mac catted h-pipe for an 04 GT. It sounds great with the exception of the exhaust leak where the mac hooks to the factory manifold (on the driver's side). The exhaust came with a peice of exhaust pipe, looked to be about 2 inches long, with a flared end. Is that peice supposed to go...
