    Foxbody trans swap

Yeah. Not quite sure where the extra length is being that it all looks flush. Someone could have converted that 99+ trans. But based only on appearance it shouldn’t work and I wonder if it’s the cause of the issues

    Foxbody trans swap

Yup. that's a 99-04 T5 that put in. Old trans says Borg-Warner, so it's pre-1998. Top cover does look like it has the provision for the NGS, so it's likely a Fox trans. Assuming no parts have been swapped on these trans, the 99+ T5 will have an input shaft that sticks out 3/4" longer. I...

1992 notch on BaT with 140 miles

I had a chance to buy a cheap 3.2 back in early 2000s and I didn’t do it. I kick myself.

I had to search back in my posts and found this pic. Pump does sit tight to that baffle, and the sock in the corner is bent up slightly. Why i didn't think much of it was because at the time (2017) i had a mech fuel pressure gauge on my cowl and was chasing a hesitation issue. It ended up...

Progress Thread Today in the shed........

Prob too late, but these are just #8 hardware you can pick up from local hardware store or mcmaster-carr. The below items prob cover 95% of the interior hardware needed for a fox. .

Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

I remember the days of using Mapquest and having a mapbook stored in the back of the pass seat on my SN95 back when that was a thing. Then i'd miss the turn, be trying to read my Mapquest printout, while driving a stick and then get lost and toss it out the window and go home. Ah those were...

Eh, that is the Boston stereotype for a reason. There are a lot of folks here like that, but then there are a :poo: ton of normal folks as well. I'm prob more the latter and keep to myself mostly.

It’s an awesome night out weatherwise. I went for a ride in the convertible. I needed a break.

90 Fox 4Lug rear convert to 5 Lug

Is this a 4-cyl body that you are upgrading to an 8.8? Because you should already have an 8.8 axle with traction-lok limited slip differential. There are options that exist now to retain same width and go to a 5-lug setup, or go 3/4" wider each side

Yup. Going to be my next step. I'm thinking it might be how the pump is sitting. During every single test i've done, the pump was fully installed with a sock. I might pull the pump and just stick it in a bucket of gas with the sock removed.

Tossed a tune in. Certainly starts up and runs better. Probably the best it's idled in a long time. Definitely helped with some of the wild AFR swings However the fueling issue still exists. I still drop 6-7psi of pressure on a small rev. No change there. I see this on my mechanical gauge as...

I think i've had a slight epihany on what's going on here. I think i got my injector dead times completely wrong. The numbers I used would definitelty hang the injectors open way too long.

Heres some more data. Fired up engine. VAc port on reg connected to my mity vac. Just letting the engine idle I applied and released vacuum. The response was as expected. Release vac and pressure goes up. No dip down at all. No change in AFR. Aside from looking at tuner studio you...

This one is just turning the pump on too. It's rather dumb in the fact it's only on/off. The only adjustments MS can make is how long it opens the injector for. Pump is essentially hardwired to the battery now. I have a relay in line but I can jump right across the relay or just command it...

That's what's confusing me. The reg has a spring. It's not going to just loosen up because the engine is running. It still requires the same force to push that spring so pressure should be the same at 12v or 14v I would think. The mech gauge only went up a few psi with the engine running...

Actually...for all you wide-band gurus out there. Does an excessively rich condition (<9AFR) sometimes read lean artificially on a wideband?

MS does have a conditioned sensor 5V and sensor ground. That's where the transducer is connected. Checking it for 5V is a good idea, i will add that to the list.

Ha. Meant gas. Not water. Safe way of running gas outside of a tank without dropping too much coin. Did some more testing and called it a night. Engine off, pump running. Used a mityvac to apply vacuum. Pulled enough vac for pressure to drop from 38psi to 31psi. Released the vacuum...

Interesting observation after the fact. Engine running. 44psi on transducer, 39psi on mech guage down by alt. Engine off, run the pump: both read 36psi. I wonder if i need to play with my voltage compensation in TS. Might have something to do with the different readings at 14.4v vs...
