    I chose Diamond pistons as they have the thickest top ringland of any off the shelf piston or modulars. You can also get them with valve reliefs for no extra charge. I'm going with Eagle rods and a cobra crank.

    i've done a half dozen 4.6 cam swaps and three in my car. I do know of a professional mustang shop that will do 2v cam installs for just under $600 labor, btw he is in the memphis area

    Forging a 2v

    You need option 3 with the 17cc dish. .020 means the pistons are .020" larger diameter than your stock pistons so you'll need to get the block bored and honed .020 over and the pistons will likely need .0035" piston to wall clearance since those are 2618 and not 4032

    YES...use a lot of WD-40 or PB Blaster on the manifold bolts. They are going to be a PITA to break loose.

    Leave them in! They promote tumbling of the mixture and better combustion. Ford put them there for a reason. Aftermarket head porters remove them to unshroud the intake valve and get big flow numbers. If you remove them you will have to add more timing in your tune.

    Comp XE278 cams will not work with stock flat tops. They will have to be flycut or you can order some with the valve reliefs already in them.
