    ford alarm system?

Any chance you turned the dome light on with the dash switch? That might cause the alarm to not arm because it thinks the door is open.

    New To Stangnet

Mustang looks great. I love the black grill too. If it has the stock shifter that has to go. Buy a Hurst. Is your windshield tinted? Audis are great cars but they are expensive to work on. My brother had several, TT now, and they were expensive and tricky to repair.

    06 GT Rolled into street

I assume it didn't hit anything. Next time put it in 1st gear when you park it. :D Seriously, is your driveway on an incline? Maybe you didn't pull the brake up far enough. I don't yank on mine, but a click or two extra doesn't hurt unless the wife needs to release it.

    Dusty engine bay

DO NOT use a water hose on our engine. Use rags and spray bottles.

    Anybody paint their radiator?

Paint it! Lets get back to the original post. We're not talking physics or rocket science here. Engine blocks, cylinder heads, brake calipers, etc are all coated/painted. It's a damn AC condenser. Paint it! Clean the bugs out and paint it! (lightly) :flag:

    Brake problems

The ring is a portion of the rotor that the pads don't touch, that's normal. You need to take your car to a mechanic and have him go through the entire brake system. It sounds like you and your buddy didn't know what you were doing and the brake system is pretty important

    Anybody paint their radiator?

That's probably your A/C condenser not the radiator. I don't see why you couldn't lightly paint the bottom half a flat black. That shouldn't affect the heat transfer that much.

    SVT 4.6 Terminator 1968 Bronco

Very interesting build.!! Sorry to hear it didn't make it to the show. When you get it running let us know how that high revving Cobra engine does in the mud.

    Another exhaust question ;)

Just got rid of my 97 Cobra and bought a 2008 GT/CS. The Cobra was slammed to the ground, hence rough riding, and pretty loud with x-pipe and drone masters. The 2008 is bone stock except for new tires. I'm looking for some axle backs that sound a little louder than stock, but nothing loud...

    Shop Trouble

I wonder what "Tones" actually wanted to know...?? 289 and Sparta, You guys are right. It's too easy to Google stuff and think you know what you're talking about. It's also too easy to come off the wrong way in an email, believe me I've done it before. One thing I learned from from a...

    spoiler swap

Had that same annoying problem with my wife's Nissan. The dealer installed a factory spoiler on a car that didn't come with one. Not only do I have a 4th third brake light, LOL, the trunk closes pretty hard if you're not careful. It has springs instead of lift cylinders so we just deal with...

    p1506 code on 97 cobra

First of all, NICE Cobra!, I love the green! If you cleaned the throttle body and MAF properly, put everything back together properly, I'll bet it's a vacuum leak. The car is a 98 model. It's over 12 years old, so the hoses will be kinda dried out and hard. Check the large ones first.

    08 GT spring help

This might be more talk than tech but here goes. I'm looking at an 08 GT to replace my 97 Cobra. I love my Cobra but I need something that will travel the highway without killing my back. The 08 GT I'm looking at is bone stock, meaning it's sitting up like a 4x4. What springs would bring it...

new member with a clutch problem

I hate to say it but you need to inspect the clutch and pressure plate. Something has let go in there. You have a piece of a spring broken that's bouncing around and binding things up. Ever have a problem with the clutch releasing?

1996 Cobra - Cold Air Intake

If you have a 96 Cobra with actual 22k miles I wouldn't modify it at all!! Does it have any mods? Exhaust, springs, etc? CAI doesn't do much.

Idle hangs when coming to a stop

Check the vacuum lines, especially the big ones like the PCV coming out of the intake. They might look good, but they get loose and leak air depending on the temperature.
